Almost done with the Woodland paint job and it looks so much better than the ugly blue. I went through 4 gallons of OD Behr paint with my airless sprayer which made painting a breeze and the black and brown were done by brushes. My wife translated the pattern from MVs off of google and I just...
That's crazy that you've worked on these trailers, I'd imagine that only a handful of them were made. If I run into any issues I'll be sure to DM you about those TMs, once I try to get these engines started that is. I've yet to have a replacement fuel tank made to replace the old fabric one
I guess my set-up might be to big for their campsites, I might need to scale down. Looking forward to it though! I might do some scouting of my own to get a good spot
How much do you want for it? I've thought about adding a winch to my M1084 so I can have a winch AND a crane. I'd already have the hydraulic system too
please use caution when working with open electrical cabinets, do so at your own risk. But when that fan engages, you should see the blue button on the contactor pull in. you can also run it manually by pushing that blue button in with an insulated screw driver
No you'd want it to run on high always when the ac is on, If its stuck on low or going dead when it tries to swap to high, it'll cut out on overpressure. The AC compressor makes the refrigerant a very hot high pressure liquid, that fan cools it down before going to the evaporator.
That blue...
I tried filling the rooftop fuel tank just to have it dump out the bottom of the trailer. Turns out it's a collapsible fuel tank and its dry rotten. I'll have to figure out how to get a custom tank made
The tank was also filled with open cell foam, I guess to baffle it, but it's all rotten...
Hey wilb, I have the manual for these 3 ton units and I've worked on about a dozen of them. The condenser fan has a 2 speed motor and swaps when pressure reaches a certain point in the system. That pressure switch, I've noticed, goes out a lot. I've fixed this issue by running a jumper across...
Thanks for the info! I went out and got some citrus stripper stuff, and while it did loosen up a bit, I would need a LOT of it. I think I'm just going to paint over it as it seems the most economical
I just recently picked up something that I think you'll find interesting. I couldn't find anything online about this trailer so hopefully someone can tell me a thing or two about this
I picked this up off a guy in NC whose friend abandoned it at his house (drug problem), and he was just...
I appreciate the offer, but I'm in Monroe GA lol
I'm sure your buddy slept great, and the white noise from the gen is actually really nice to sleep to. One of those 3 ton units roasted me out of a 305 in winter and is overkill unless you're in the artic. Even though I have an 803a, I think I'll...
How does your 802 handle the 3 ton unit on heat? Probably not very good. I've thought about deactivating a heating coil on each phase to try to lower the load for an 802 to run it
Nice setup with the Base-X 303, it's a decent size and still easy to deploy.
I know my HP-8 with J tent has a 45 gallon tank under the generator and that's barely enough to get though a weekend. Like Coug said Aux fuel lines in a barrel is the way to go. Not sure of the model of another...
