Since I picked up the deuce the speedo has not worked. I disconnected it at the drive gear and spun it up with a cordless drill and the speedo works fine. I took the gear drive off and took it apart and cleaned it and it looks fine. There is a "paddle" that sticks out from the gear drive into...
There are two NSN's listed in the TM, I suspect one is the old style cover with seperate end curtians and the other is the one piece cover with the built in end curtians. Both numbers below are for the deuce.

I just scored a 3/4 drive roboimpact on e-bay for $9.99, the power cord is broken so hopefully it will be an easy fix, although it never is. I would gladly loan you my military torque multiplier wrench if you thought it would work, would have to ship it though.
The last picture looks like a large pile of cargo parachutes, I would inspect that lot just to see whats in it, it looks like there are alot of the chutes. Usually they make you cut all the shroud lines off, that could be alot of work. I see also a EUC is required, perhaps a demill requirement...
I had a couple of those 5Kw gensets, looks like they upgraded the oil filter to spin on. I have some new plugs if you need them, think I have some TM's as well. Good find.
The only thing I can think of is that by pointing in toward the firewall might prevent any kind of fine particles getting forced into the small hole in the atomizer and plugging it. Houdel, can you look and see where your arrow is pointing?
Finished the kit install today. Before I hooked the line to the atomizer I verified it was shooting ether by placing the hose on the side morror arm and from the cab activated the toggle and when I released it she fired! You can hear a click when it activates. I placed the ground wire on the...
Sounds like I sure could use it but it looks bulky/heavy, do you think it would be reasonable to ship it? I have an account with fedex ground and could have it picked up. I appreciate the offer!
My truck has the spring seat and on my recent 18hr trip home I found it quite cramped and close to the steering wheel. I am 5' 10" 155lbs so not being a giant I expected more room behind the wheel. I tried every adjustment on it and none seems to help. I was curious if the box seat might...
It was too cold and windy for me to get back to the truck project. I would say you got the wrong one, mine is correct with both mil style connectors and where yours has a red plug mine has the fitting for the tube. Thanks for the hints on drilling! I will try and get it mounted tomorrow. I...
There was no filter on my hose and there was no cover either. I believe there are three types of flame heaters, sounds like we have different units, somewhere here I thought there was a link to the three different types, I know one does not have a cover. The only filter I know of is the fuel...
There is a bleed screw on the top left(looking at the filter)of the fuel filter, open it while cranking and see if you have a good fuel flow, if not replace the filter. To bleed the filter open the bleed screw again and crank untill you have a good fuel flow. Also check to see if the injector...
I'm not sure why they used a straight thread on it wrather than a tapered thread normally used. Glad it helped. I had to remove the four nuts from the intake elbow and pull it out abit to get clearance to unscrew the injector. I used an extension with a universal to remove that IP fitting and...
OK, here is the two remaining items finished. Replaced the "T" on the injector return lines with the straight tube from the kit and plugged the feed line port at the bottom of the IP. Last, this is all of the flame heater parts removed. Next I'll post pictures of the either kit install...
The kit is made by Quick Start, the kit is around $150.00 and is made to replace the flame heater. It sure is nice getting all that extra stuff off the top of the engine, and alot less potential fuel leaks. Qucik start kit number was posted earlier, just do a search for quick start. They are...
The line going to my flame heater is on the bottom of the IP, not the side. Looking at your diagram if you look closely at the bottom front of the pump you can see a large hex head plug that is solid. On my pump the center is threaded for a fittting and this is where the plastic hose from the...
I am removing the flame heater in order to install the either start kit. The kit came with three plugs to plug off flame heater parts removed. So far I have removed and plugged the two ports on the intake elbow, re-used the jam nut on the plug for the fuel nozzle opening. The final plug goes...
