As promised,here's a few pics of the two different turbos on both Mack powered trucks I have,I don't believe the wrecker has the correct factory turbo for the Mack engine as it does not resemble the M54 turbo at all.

I guess I count myself as lucky then as I have flown in a UH-1,a Loach,and a Cobra plus a B-17 all on the same weekend!! I actually enjoyed the Huey and B-17 the most of all 4 but still a once in a lifetime expierence!!!I actually talked the G/F into going with me on the UH-1,she wasn't too...

It does resemble the turbo used on the ENDT,but I don't believe that turbo would fit in the space occupied by a LDT turbo on a deuce.When I get out and about in a while I'll take a couple pics of both turbos used on the ENDT and post them here for comparison.

M62A1 progress I finally had some time(and good weather)to work on the M62 some this weekend,the truck itself is in really good shape mechanically and physically.BUT,evidently(after looking the truck over and talking with David Doyle)It seems the Mack conversion was done by a N/G vs a Depot...

Ok,a couple people wanted pictures of the boom extension and attaching method on my recently aquired M62A1.So for all interested,here's the photos.

Niether,You just put it in gear inside the cab,the winch stays in neutral till you select either wind or unwind with the control lever mounted on a small plate on the winch top left hand side.(upper left corner of the above picture)

That's a rear drag winch off a M123A1C 10 ton tractor,the air lines go to the reversing gear under the winch itself(not actually part of the winch).This is air actuated on the M123 and is used to select whether the winch is pulling in or paying out cable.As far as I know there is no 45K winch...

Kenny,I think that boom extension is gonna be the first thing to hit the scrap pile,actually the entire bed may be getting swapped if I get this other M62 parts truck close to me.Both trucks don't have the same turbo,this may account for the cargo being stronger and pushing out more smoke.

The M54 is the one Bill W owned and still resides at his house(for now) and I believe it has sprag issues or a stuck selector vale in the trans,doesn't matter though it's gonna be towed behind the 813 first then the M62 for the remainder of the trip home.
