My newly rebuilt tranny on my 923 does exactly the same thing. It definately thunks from 2nd to 1st. It's something you don't get use to. Makes a guy cringe everytime it happens. From what I have read, it pretty normal to downshift harsh like that.
6 days and counting. Just as a reminder, if you would like to convoy with a group, please check post two towards the bottom. We have convoy leaders w/location and times. There's safety in numbers should some mechanical issues arise. Let's keep it safe out there and make you guys PMCS your trucks...
Guys we need to support Dale on this. He was gracious to offer his time and money to get this project going for us. He is truely charging his cost on the t-shirts. However, I am thinking he's probably loosing money on this. I know Dale isn't doing this to make money but to extend his gratitude...
Definately need to get a spare! In fact I've got two in my 923 (actually 3 if you include the 11.00x20 in the spare tire rack). Always need a back up to the back up. Plan for the worst and hope for the best.
Mobile Field Lift, Cargo Bed, Spare Tire
OK, was finally able to test fire this Mobile Field Lift Project. It's a pretty simple, yet very effective in what it does.
My quest started after I got my super singles mounted on my truck. As many of you M939 owners know, unless you buy an M939A1/A2...
Thanks guys. It's a bitter sweet moment this day. We celebrate my daughters 11th day into this world as we mourn my brother-in-law's passing at 37 years of age. He leaves behind 4 children with the youngest being 11 months.
I was in the middle of another project to help get spare super singes...
Rest In Peace Todd!
Just got back from the hospital about 2 hours ago. My wife lost her 37 year old brother this afternoon. He was involved in a single motorcycle accident. Rest In Peace Todd. This post is dedicated to you brother!
As our familiy celebrates a new life, we are also mourning a loss of one. My wife's brother was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident this afternoon in Humptulips. So my plans are dependant on the Funeral/Memorial service at this point. But I am going to try and attend this rally.
