    16" wheels on a 1009

Thank you very much. I tried every which way to get it to post from my phone. I don't have access to a computer right now.

    16" wheels on a 1009

Black rocks that are 16x8 with 4.5" back spacing. The 1 tons are wider though. The stock m1009 15" rims are 8" wide with 4" back spacing. http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i90/ilikebmx999/CUCV/40A2F70D-4986-42A3-8884-F52816B28D63_zpsfs1hwqfr.jpg

    16" wheels on a 1009

I literally just got my tires mounted today. I have 315/75-16 bfg ko2's and a 2" lift (with 1 ton axles). You'll be doing a lot of cutting and with stock 3.08's the 6.2 will be struggling.

For the people asking if a turbo is a worthwhile upgrade....

I'm in the process of putting 1 tons under mine with 4.10 gears so I'm hoping that'll really wake it up. I've had thoughts of doing a sm465 swap but I may stick with the th400 for trail use.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Started removing the front axle for its one ton swap. Hoping to get the d60 in tomorrow morning.

6.2 banks turbo or 6.0 vortec

That's a tough one. The turbo will be cheap and easy to set up and it really wakes the 6.2 up (I'm running under 10psi). The 6.0 is nearly double the hp of the turbo 6.2 with a tune but will be more expensive and more of a headache with wiring. A cucv also loses some of its charm with a gasser...

    Would you pay $17,000.00 for a M1009?

There's a similarly priced m1028 on the Denver craigslist (search cucv) Has a Cummins swap.

    Banks turbo install

The banks kit is in the front and the turbo sits much lower than the 6.5 stock setup. The 6.5 setup has the crossover in the back.

Jerry can holder and weapons butt stock holder bolt sizes

The bracket that the jerry can holder bolts to is welded into the floor.

    Banks turbo install

The banks kit has a crossover pipe from the drivers side to the passenger side turbo manifold.

6.5 turbo setup on 6.2, problems with throttle vacuum valve adjustment.

I thought about making a thin spacer and using two gaskets but I'm alright with where my shift points are now. The rpms are slightly higher when shifting than what's in the TM but helps on steep climbs

What rust proofing product did you use?

Adding a Third Brake Light to M1009

I'd like a 3rd light because my dirt bike on the back blocks a decent amount of the regular lights. I think I'd like mine recessed into the Fiberglass top or just at the top of the window.

Adding a Third Brake Light to M1009

Could you post some pics of how it looks?

    Air intake

Get a large naca duct and put it where the heater hole was and maybe make a box for the intake tube you posted?

    Broken Accelerator Cable

A bike shop cannot add a new cable end to a cable as that's not common practice. There are companies that make these however http://www.amazon.com/Odyssey-Knarps-Cable-Ends-Silver/dp/B0017GM1CG

Mounting a winch. Who has done it?

this is exactly how I have mine. I also used mag light flash light clamps to mount my plate on the fairlead but allow it to be removable.

    CUCV Winterization Kits???

Apparently my post disappeared? I have a kit I was going to use but I think it's missing some small bits. You can look over the TM's (there is one for the winterization kit)
