    R.I.P--SHOOTINIRON--James Ruman

Not the way I wanted to start the holiday weekend. RIP James, and my thoughts and prayers are with your family. It makes you give thought to the fact we never know when it could happen, and that we should always tell our loved ones that we do "love them".

lol you mean traveling East Clint... yes, I meant the same parking lot that JP mentioned. I tell you how to get there by road, John expects you to have a compass handy. lol. JP and I will be in Winnsboro, but if something happens the XM818 and towbar are at the house, you can go get them or we...

    New girl...

Just wait GIP, you get to see Amy's Gamma Goat (dhwife), MDmorgan's wife's truck and the awesome M109 trailer they both built together, and my wife's M109 (no account) that she built and maintains herself, (working on a m37 now) plus many other women in the hobby who are activally working or...

Got tips for better MPG's from LDT motors?

I can get my deuce 500 miles on 7 gallons of fuel... so that makes it... 71.4MPG!!!! It just depends on how you move it! I can't find my pictures of deuces on flatcars, had to use the TM drawing

    M37 Brake Wheel Cylinders

Angie has just started doing this to her M37, she wanted to know if it was better to rebuild or replace- I said, it is easier to just replace, but cheaper and more 'fun' to rebuild them. She just gave me this look... so we will see what happens.

    M109 fuel economy

I get about 12mpg in the M109 concistantly. I usually drive 55mph max, which with the 11r20 goodyear G177's puts the RPM at 2200-2300. If I run up to close to 2600, it really sucks the fuel down. I get more like 6 or 7 MPG if I sustain 60mph for a long period. And I burn almost anything in any...

    M37 engine in genset?

I have seen the M37 engine in an old Navy 12k forklift... Besides the intake being different, it looked the same, even had the military plugs and wires. It was built in 1952 and we were still using it in 2004 at the Norfolk Navy base... I wonder what happened to it? Heck, they may still be...

    Lowering an M101A2

I've seen people do it, but usually they just bolt the axle to the frame, with no springs whatsoever. Seen several m105's done that way. I think doing a spring under would work fine, not sure on how easy it would be to get smaller rims/tires.

    At war with my neighbors...

I had some neighbors in Norfolk who didn't like the bus, the trailers, or the deuce or m38a1. Then I bought a 3k forklift. Everyone liked me then. Guys would get sod delivered, or lowes stuff delivered, or needed an engine pulled, or even a piano put up through a wall in a second floor. I gave...

    2011 Haspin pic/video thread

lol I know Kenny, But if the xm818 is the dead one, I don't have a fifth wheel handy! I still need to put the m109 on the back of the 818 and see how it works. My issue is how to get it on and off- I don't have a wrecker, and the ramps on the m172 are too #@!%@#$ heavy.

Hawker / Armasafe AGM Battery Info

I LOVE my Hawkers. I got two when I bought my m109- it had sat a year and a half before I finally got to pick it up- and it cranked right up. I got two more when I purchased my M967 fuel tanker. They were put on it in 04 and the trailer sat since then. I charged them up as said above and they...

    fuel tanker

Whatevery you do, label it! Yes, I believe over 550 gallons is the legal limit, after that you need placards, Hazmat insurance, etc etc, even for private use. So they are correct, a 600 gallon pod would have to be placarded IF it was full. As long as you never fill it up, you would be ok...
