I've found if you have a NATO cable, and two adapters, you can hook anything to anything. Also, I second Gimp's comments. I've been short a foot or two more times than I can remember. I've seriously concidered either getting some ends and making a 25-30ft one, so then I have two, or actually...
Welcome to the site! Your more than welcome to come down to Winnsboro to the RR museum, where I keep all my MVs. I'll let you drive one, or 5. :-D And definitly try to make a rally. You'll learn alot and your family will have a great time.
I don't think I would take 20k for mine, but that's just me. After haspin, and all the hauling I've been doing, it's worth it to me. I love it... maybe at an unhealthy level? :driver:
yeah, the springs on a m818 are stiff if unloaded. I got a soft top because I got tired of pounding the hard top out with my head! Angie wouldn't even ride with me to Haspin, it was so bad. Rides ok with the empty tanker, rides really sweet with a loaded tanker.
Nope, I got caught as a witness to an accident on base, so I missed the end. :-x It went for what I could have bought AMGenerals for. But the auctioned one had the 16spd, so it would have hauled butt.
Back to the thread-
My m818 mpg definitly changes based on speed and load.
Good score! I missed out on the one in GA, there was a wreck right in front of me on base and I had to hang around as a witness. It went for almost what AMGeneral wants for his, so it would have been a wash anyway, except it had the 16speed so it would have flown down the road!
John, if you're serious, I will wait a year, just to see you drive that thing to AK. We can take pictures. After all, the cab will be in AK and the pintle will still be in WA... rofl
50mph is what mine likes, and I've gotten 7mpg without a trailer.
Loaded, I get about 4mpg at 50.
I've had mine to 62mph for a short burst, but it's scary, and bad for the engine.
Bottom line, an M818 isn't a road tractor. Even though I'm hauling WVO with mine. A m915 is in my very near...
Hey Mitch,
We'll have to work out with Mike about running to the 'stash' I do have two spare roof jacks- might be able to trade for some stuff.
mkcoen,
I've got a line on a complete set of MBU's within driving distance. We might be able to work something out. I think I might want to keep both...
Thanks Mike! I'm sure I can build one if I can't find one. I can have something bigger than the 1000watts, I just didn't want anything smaller.
Listen to me, and I don't even have any MBUs, much less my MKT yet!
I get the exact same thing at work Tom, as do other members here who use Gov computer systems. It lets it get to the loading screen, then will load forever. (I know, I left it up for a week once) Its something in some of the networks the gov uses, that blocks it.
Mitch, I also volunteered to go with Mike. If you have a trailer, I've got the 30mpg dodge with the 110gallon tank ready to go. Road Trip!
I got a look at mine really quick yesterday. It is a MKT-75A, with the modification, (it had the GFI outlet and a connection in the cabinet for the...
