    Front Mounted Spare?

Oh no! I really didn't mean to resurrect this, except to suggest that it's one way to get around the problem of not having a spare. Unless you bobbed yer truck...

    Front Mounted Spare?

Ground clearance would still suck, but then I guess the tires are that much larger so maybe it would cancel out?

    Front Mounted Spare?

This is what I'm planning on doing, (in addition to the spare/s I'll be carrying).

    12V ?? how can i get

Also check out Wolverine Technologies 12V alternator kit (there's an ad in the classifieds section). I'm planning to add one to my M109 motorhome to charge the house batteries.

    Power steering for the Deuce?

I don't mean to be argumentative, but I want to clarify something about full-hydro systems. If the engine dies, you're not going to loose all ability to steer the vehicle. You're just going to lose the power generated by the hydraulic pump, much like any other power-steering system. The only...

big tires = big shocks - WITH DATA

No, no pictures. Haven't even designed the shock mounts yet, but I'm going to replace the front shocks and add shocks to both of the rear axles with something more like these.

big tires = big shocks - WITH DATA

Thanks for posting those valving spec whering! I'm planning on adding some 2.5" remote reservoir desert racing shocks to my M109, and it will be really helpful to have a baseline to start with when I get around to valving them.

more questions & ideas related to fording kits

Hi Ken. I've seen those hoses that you're talking about, but I've also read that you're not supposed to leave that hose attached all the time - because it wouldn't vent / drain properly and you wouldn't want that gunk in your intake anyway, right? As far as positive / negative pressure: Moroso...

    Which Turbo For My LDS??

I'm wondering about this too. I had Ken port my D-series turbo for mah deuce, but I just found an LDS engine that I'm planning to swap into my truck eventually and I'm wondering which turbo I might want to use.

    Best Way To Preserve Rubber?

I've got a bunch of tires stored outside right now, and they're filling-up with rain-water. I'd like to think that water on the inside isn't any different than water on the outside, but I don't know...

more questions & ideas related to fording kits

I've read through all of the old threads and understand that the fording kits were not meant to be permanently installed, but I would like to build a fording kit that I can leave hooked-up all the time. When it's time to get wet, I don't want to have to do anything more than install the...

Thanks for posting/sharing all this helpful information about these heaters. Been searching and reading through a lot of your old posts on this subject.

    1 or 2 hole injectors

I was only asking because it was just explained to me that part of what makes the deuce a real multi-fuel engine is that the injectors do NOT atomize anywhere near as much of the fuel as in a normal diesel engine.

    1 or 2 hole injectors

So, would that make the 1 hole injectors better-suited to burn gasoline?

    Thinking about getting an M-35A2

Hi Matt- I will eventually get around to documenting the build here. I'm documenting the entire project for a series of magazine articles that are going to be published in 8-Lug magazine first, and then I can post more about it online. This site has been an excellent resource, and you'll find a...

    Thinking about getting an M-35A2

What's that mean? How many of us really NEED our Deuces for whatever we do with them? But I decided to build an off-road-oriented motorhome, and THEN chose to build it out of a deuce, not the other way around. I think these trucks make an excellent platform for this type of project, especially...

    source for exhaust gaskets

Thanks doghead. I hadn't checked with any of those places because I was hoping that I'd be able to find them locally. Should have planned ahead... Anyway, just ordered them from Boyce. $4ea. Should be here sometime early next week.

    M52a2 aia to air intercooler

Looks pretty straightforward. I remember reading some posts in a thread where a few of the guys measured the air temps and they came to the conclusion that there wasn't much to be gained by adding an intercooler (because the water-cooled intake manifold is pretty effective), BUT I can't see any...
