I'm not sure the problem is with the government. I had EUCs and SF97s repeatedly issued in a reasonable time frame when Government Liquidation had the contract. I'm thinking the problem may be with GP, not the gov.
I used United States of Freight to move my FLU419 from Philadelphia to North Georgia. They did an excellent job at the lowest cost quote and actually showed up early.
NOCO chargers are great. I now have 6 NOCO chargers, 5 that will charge 24 VDC and one that charges two 12 VDC at the same time. They make very good chargers.
No, $125 or $150 in Atlanta. But again, that was a few years back. He had two available at that time and I picked the one that had a tag that said it was rebuilt by Wolverhampton in the UK. Both had come out of running trucks that were being parted out.
On my FLU, I have to depress the clutch to get the intermediate speed control to shift. The -10 manual states the following:
Intermediate Speed Control (2). Intermediate speeds are main transmission reduction speeds and can be
engaged and disengaged while driving either forward or reverse...
My crossover air line was corroded solid. I replaced it with a 10mm 316 stainless steel line. It is very easy to replace, but has some complicated bends in it. I had to purchase a Ridgid 10mm tubing bender made for SS. My unloader /regulator was also toast so I replaced it with a new one I...
The easiest solution is to find a good take-out transmission from a truck being parted out. I can't remember, but I believe I paid either $125.00 or $150.00 for a good transmission. However, that was a few years ago and there aren't as many available now. The transmission is actually not that...
Lucky you made it back home. When I first recovered my A2, I drove it home from Fort Indiantown Gap, PA to North Georgia without difficulty. Days later, the trans was in 5th gear and it started shedding teeth. Total loss. Installed a takeout transmission and new clutch.
I have an M1030M1. Most of the engine parts are unavailable. Likely, the injector is some standard injector. Can you see any writing on the injector? You said the injector is rusty. Does it still work OK? If it still works OK, I wouldn't mess with it. Fred Hayes, the developer of the...
When you do get ready to drive it the first time you need to note that the deuce has a unique shift pattern. I would recommend that you stick with DOT 5 brake fluid. It's expensive, but good stuff and also what is supposed to be in it. You can often find gallon cans of it on Ebay.
I have an M35A3 and I always use my emergency flashers when on the interstate or any other highway with a high speed limit, and especially at night. The black color of your HMMWV multiplies the danger.
Check out Expedition Imports. https://expedition-imports.com/ They have the correct power steering filter for $13.52. The P/N is: 0004660404 They also carry a significant number of other parts for the FLU419.
Don't get the Sawzall out. I've removed and reassembled 7 different M35A3 wheels and beadlocks on my A3 by myself. It isn't that difficult if you use the correct tools and procedure. I use either tire lube or Dawn dishwashing liquid for lubricant. Using lubricant is very important. Without...
I had very similar issues with my FLU419 when I first got it. Check out the rod in the throttle linkage P/N 4063000615BA at Expedition Imports. Mine was mangled and I replaced it for less than $30.00 at EI. I also went ahead and replaced all of the throttle springs and lubricated everything...
