The cranes in the Photos appear to have the roller chassis and I am trying to determine how this chassis works. Being self contained they can be moved on the truck bed from the front to the rear, But how are they attached to the bed because they can not be rigidly bolted.
All this talk is making me remember why I live in Southern California and not in the north or where I grew up in the northeast.
I might have to put a log on the fireplace becuase it is getting below 60 at night now.

12 volt or 24 volt has been an issue for years.
The military went 24 volt to start aircraft.
Some big civilian trucks were 24 volt to start the diesel.
Most if not all civilian trucks are now 12 volt.
I have a modern military truck and several trailers that were manufactured as 12 volt...
This is assuming it is started and driven every 3 to 4 months.
The oil should be preplaced yearly at a minimum.
The antifreeze should be changed every two to three years.
The trans fluid every five years max.
The rest of the fluids is up to you but you can take the factory maintence...
Inside storage is best. Here in socal you do note need to worry about a cliamate controled garage just needs to be vented.
Add fuel stabilizer to keep the algee at bay
disconect the batteries.
Do a complete inspection before you drive it next time and then you should be good to go.
