I don't know about the timber rattler population state-wide in Georgia, but we are covered up here with both timber rattlers and copperheads. I'm on 32 acres surrounded by national forest. I'm not kidding when I say there is a snake den near my house. I've never seen an eastern diamondback...
I recently acquired an M1030M1 also. The Odyssey PC625 AGM battery was completely flat because the key was left on when I picked the unit up. I had a difficult time charging the battery. A volt meter indicated 0 volts on the battery. Fortunately, I have several "smart" chargers, including a...
Has anybody used the Sherwin Williams water-based CARC in the spray cans? I know they are selling DTL-64159 Type III CARC in the spray cans for touch up work. https://oem.sherwin-williams.com/products/metal/military-coatings/ Apparently, the single can contains both parts and a plunger mixes...
I'll be driving my M35A3 pulling an XM1061E1 trailer with my newest acquistion. I just acquired an M1030M1 USMC diesel motorcycle. That thing is unlike any motorcycle I've ever ridden. Can't wait!
Kind of a sad day. I sold my M35A2 W/W. That was my first MV and I had it for 9 years. I recovered it from Fort Indiantown Gap in Pennsylvania and drove it home in 17 hours. That was one good truck. I got a lot of good use out of it. Very reliable. The good thing is it went to a good guy...
Actually, we have a severe feral hog problem on my property. I have a feeder and we shoot the hogs when they feed. We also have a lot of bears and the hogs stay away from the feeder when the bears are around. We have four dogs and the dogs keep the hogs away from near the house where I want...
I always thought that rattlesnakes didn't climb much. Not true! I just sold my M35A2 and was in the process of checking the fluids, etc. before the buyer shows up tomorrow morning to pick it up. While pulling the dipstick out of the engine, I heard a rattlesnake sounding off and very close...
You should go ahead and download a set of the TMs for the M35A3. There are a lot of differences between the A2 and A3. You can find them all free at http://www.jatonkam35s.com/ .
There are no more parts for the diesel engine in California or elsewhere. Fred Hayes sold the company to a company in India that was going to produce a diesel motorcycle. That company never proceeded and disposed of all parts, of which there were very few.
As Floridianson said above, it is quite common to stay engaged if the front driveline is under load. If you stop and back up it will normally drop out almost immediately.
I have an M35A3 that had corroded parts including the fuel cap vent spring, chains and foam breaker basket. The spring on the cap for the vent was severely corroded. I cleaned the rust off with vinegar and then phosphoric acid to treat the steel against further corrosion. The chain from the...
You are right. That dust got in my eyes as well. I think it was heat that got to the foam in my original cover, rather than age. You would think that they would use some other foam material that held up better. The outer cover looked almost new.
When I picked up my M35A3 years ago, the top looked to be in excellent shape from the outside. The inside was a different story. The foam insulation had decayed to a crumbly powder that continually sprinkled down on me when driving and the liner was hanging down in spots. I tried to replace...
Welcome to the site. To start a new thread, click on The Deuce under Forums. Then click on Start a New Thread near the top left. In many states, older vehicles don't need a title. I'm not certain about PA. Call your DMV and ask. If you do need a title, you can always find a friend located...
I too, almost never run my plates and the local LEOs know this and don't care. However, I do have my plates on a magnetic holder designed for used car lots and I keep the plate in my truck. That way if I ever get stopped for no plate I can pull it out and my excuse will be that I forgot to put...
I've been pulled over several times due to curiosity. The first time was the local County Sheriff who wanted me to promise him to loan him the truck if there was an emergency.
I'm registered in Wolfden 1, same as last year. I think my son-in-law and two grandkids are coming as well as my friend Georgia from the Czech Republic. George came last year and he is hooked!
It's been a while, but I finally solved my issue with the aux fuel pump and line not pulling fuel unless the source was elevated. As I mentioned previously, I pressure tested the pickup line. No leaks under pressure. I finally got around to pulling a vacuum on the line. The line leaks under...
