I know this doesn't help much but if she can get a charger on the batteries where it sits that would speed up the repair process...plus once it starts she can run it for the day without shutting it off since it doesn't take much power to run...which might get here closer to someone that can...
The place I'd look is the TM section of the gensets. It has tons of info on where to look and troubleshoot. I am assuming it didn't run when you got it but if it did was the oil gauge working and the switch?
I like to look in the TM and get part numbers and nsn from that then search those out. What I find is NOS parts from surplus companies out there that don't charge much at all plus you usually get American made parts. They will be old but not used so they'll work perfect.
Ok so I looked at the pics you posted of the spindle and the red arrow....That looks like the bearing spun on the hub. Outward from the red line the shiny metal gets dark like not machined...right at that point it looks like there's a lip there as well which there shouldn't be one. What...
You got a live one there!!! The bar that is bent on the floor goes under the wheel cylinder in the notches on each shoe. You are missing spring 22 that goes on the one end of that bar. The parking brake bracket that's laying next to the bent bar goes through the self adjuster part 16 if you...
Bouncing that much at idle is typically the diaphragm...the engine would basically have to be shutting off to get that low of a number...there are pods on ebay and other sites for a click over 130$. Might want to send the tech the guide on how to set the vacuum valve on the throttle...once you...
Yes that's where they should test it. Just curious about the actual reading of vacuum, meaning it's bouncing up and down or steady vacuum at 20hg? Changing the puck is easy and I doubt the gear is worn that bad...can pop it out to check though.
So your vacuum goes from negative 20 to negative 5 hg? Bouncing? Where are they checking for vacuum at? The vacuum system is extremely basic on these...do they have the vacuum lines hooked up right on the throttle valve? Have them swap it around and see if they're on the wrong connections...
There's a bar on the lugs you have to remove...can't remember which one they're on now but it's extremely obvious when you look at the lugs...I think it's on the bottom 2?? I'm not sure what code is where you're at so have the electrician do that part. Oh and this machine will produce a ton of...
So today was a hot one for January got to 49 degrees. Kiddo went outside and found a good bit of diesel leaking out the back! We found the diesel heater steel line had cracked and with the fuel expansion it found its way out there! Pretty good spot too. Found it quick with a shot of compressor...
One thing to consider is the genset will do 52 amps at 220 so since it can go over that by several amps you might want to look at getting a bigger plug or hard wire it to the house from the genset with bigger wire...that depends on how far away the gen is from the house on how big of wire you'll...
I've bought several sets of tires for at least 6 different cars and trucks I own or past on now from treadwright. I have had 0 problems with any of them...put them on the blazer and the truck too. They ship very fast with no extra charges. I like that they have 3 different types of each to...
I'm surprised that they have the parts in stock for that!! Imagine how many they need just by looking at that recall number. Must be a fun job too at that much hour billed vs 2wd and 4wd! I'll pass on that warranty work! Have fun with the new old daily driver.
I didn't take it apart yet, the 12 volt side did get key start power and the responding side did not close so the 12 volt side failed which is crazy weird. The relay was barely a year old and only really used the last 4 months!! The higher voltage while running is only a volt or so and...
My exhaust buzzes pretty bad probably because it's rusted inside but the bed sides will buzz some if the idle hits a certain speed on mine too but it's mostly the muffler on mine. As far as the balancer goes you are right that the gm replacement is not around right now and not sure if it will...
So today the ol blazer did a fail...well kinda...he was trying to grab his book bag out of the back with his right hand while trying to shut the engine off with his left...he had to show me because I couldn't see how to bend that way...anyhow instead of shutting it off he pushed forward and made...
