Have to agree on heat
The engine HAS to hot for these heaters to get hot. Or at least warm enough to feel any effect. ALL my trucks run artic covers with the flaps open in summer and closed in winter where temp ranges from +4 -17 C* odd times over here. If it is really hot weather 80s+ then the...

So I fitted one to my M45 fire truck. 24volt. switches on the dash to operate it.
Pulled a few cars from the dykes here. (and) one lorry with snatch blocks. I just LIKE driving and using the fire unit. You know (don't you?) blow the siren wail the wailer flash the lights...

I simply replace all and any of my M series truck bulbs with regular 24 volt commercial truck bulbs. and they are so cheap " trade" I buy a box at a time. 24V 3 or 6 watt side lamps for side and driving plus markers. (includes the black out and marker lights) and 24 V stop light...
R U ready for this?
CLEAN THE PLUG!.. (yep) they fire just like regular spark plugs but if they (do) get "fouled up" (like a smokey car / motorcycle etc ) they fire (burn) down the crud instead of accross the electrode. My wrecker got harder and harder to start untill finally "the dreaded...
P.S. to the shove
You will note (as per my comment on cutting in in front of "LHD vehicles" over here that, that was an right (approach ( offside )) blind entry upon a right hand drive lorry.
Iv'e had them ( obviously )from my offside (rightside) blind entry .

My legroom mod
I made more room in my M62 by shaving a long slot in the cab brace behind the seat. fitted a non sprung seat. and the best I found was to take out the steering colum bolts. Re-drill 3 more holes as HIGH up the dash I could lift the colum and re-fit the bolts and colum at that...

I do agree with 813 on the width thing regarding headlight position and oncoming traffic (at night). I have all four of my side lights (yep 4) lit when the headlights are on. can run with just the four and markers. (whicc can be additionaly seen from oncoming and passing. (picture of my...
