I don't think rebuild kits are available for the cylinder. Are you sure yours needs rebuilding? If you have a problem with seals, many folks solve their problem by adding a small amount of air tool oil. Adding the oil solved all of my problems. Add the oil at the inlet port of the actuator -...
Make sure that whatever coolant you use it's the heavy duty ethylene glycol type. Also, if you don't use premix, make sure you use distilled water for the dillution to eliminate phosphate buildup in the coolant system. It will take a lot of distilled water jugs, but it is definitely worth it...
Dave, you do good work. That is one outstanding truck! I'm very impressed - when you envision a project, you go all out! OUtstanding pictures of an outstanding truck! You definitely need to bring Jokers Wild to the GA Rally. That gun ring and gun look fantastic mounted on your 5 ton.

Milk snakes are good snakes - they don't hurt anything. At my place all we see are copperheads and timber rattlers. I've had three dogs get bitten in the last 2 years. I've killed 6 timber rattlers and 23 copperheads in the last 5 years or so, all within a couple hundred feet of the house.
I'm working in Pune, India and not only ready to come home, I'm ready for the rally! Actually, I'm not ready - I have some things to do to my deuce before I'm ready, but being out of the xountry isn't helping.
I'm assuming that you are going to restore it? I would definitely plan on restoring it. Since it is right hand drive, it obviously went to a country with right hand drive. I would make a list of countries with right hand drive that were potential recipients of the truck.I believe there are...
I suspect that the blue was for infantry as you mentioned and that the yellow was for armor. When I was in, every vehicle in our brigade had colored diamonds on the sides, just in front of the doors or on the doors. They were all colored according to whether it was an armor, infantry, or...
That brings back memories. My family all went out to see the first flight of the C5 Galaxy in Marietta, Georgia back in 1968. I remember that something went wrong - I believe some tires blew out - can't really remember, and we had to go back the next day for the first flight. There were...
Dave, even if your title hasn't been issued yet, you can get a temporary tag from the DMV. I believe they are still free in Georgia. This won't impact your title application. You really need to come to the rally!
The wheel valves are actually very simple to take apart and clean. I've now done two of them and didn't have a kit. The gaskets were still good and didn't leak when re-assembled. I cleaned everything with mineral spirits and then washed everything with hot soapy water, followed by drying with...
There may be another possibility going on here. When I talked to the engineer at the Allison factory, he highly recommended replacing the motor oil with Dexron III. However, he was careful to make sure I knew that motor oil and Dexron III were not compatible and to make certain that I got all...
