In a pinch you can limp the truck home and not risk working on the truck on the side of the road or in the dark. The saying goes that you have 5 spares when you run duals.

A good friend of mine fabricated it up from scratch. I was really pleased with what he came up with and the ease of operation. Best of all Kathy can get in the truck by herself now.
You have to have your local or county police do a vin check prior to going to the BMV. You can get the form online from the BMV site for them to fill out.
