You should make sure the knob/ selector inside the front cover is set to 120/240 single phase assuming it is not a 3 phase motor. (ONLY CHANGE with the generator OFF) Also make sure you are connected to L1 and L3 and the neutral connected as well as a ground rod.
glo543zaadwyxg1 Would like TM and source for power cables. Helping local Sheriff dept. prepare for hurricane relief. This is a 5 ton 3 phase heat and air unit. It appears a 10 kw will run one. Not finding much info. I would think a 30kw would power 2 with ease. Can anyone verify or offer...
I tried to remove a couple different ways. The quickest and cleanest was to use a set of End Nippers.. It bit the crimps right off in less than a minute. Surprised me after trying to grind off.
Chainbreaker Good questions and thoughts. Yes 2 liter drink bottle full, drained from the bottom. It is new old stock , only 17 real hours. It had a bad hi temp switch that was not fixed and apparently shoved to the side. Yes the flap was down and in perfect shape. The oil did NOT have a...
How in the world I did not see that listing. I searched and researched. WOW! It comes up first when I searched for it! Just WOW. Thank you Zed254 Part ordered.
I was hoping someone would give a link based of their independent search. So I will throw out what I found. Is this correct, even if it is 5 degrees cooler? 220 F vs 225 F I think it would not make a diff. Deleted link to avoid mistake or confusion. Thread diameter could have been diff.
Thanks for the reply. . I verified the stick with another 803 and a 802. Like I said dumb question, but I am not a motor guy. Did take out 2 liter drink bottle full then checked it 9 more times to be sure over last two days. LOL
I have read up on the break in period and oil type posted here. My question borders on dumb question... none the less here goes. New old stock 803 17 real hours. Checked the genset fluids and found the (Break in oil) to be way over full. 1.5 inches too high on the stick. I drained out 2...
802 803 Hi temp switch Problem
My new 803 has a bad Hi temp switch. This is IP, GP purchase, it came in with the wire unplugged. (New Machine 07 model) It reads open which it should as well as the one on my 802. When connected it will send the genset into HI Temp fault. Swapped out with the...
You said NO fault codes. Press the fault code test button to check that they are working. Can you describe or video it stalling. A short video of it stalling would be helpful and be the quickest way to get better guidance. Video from about 5 feet and include front panel as well as the...
Okay I will replace them all while here. I needed the push to get me past the lack of experience on these lines. CSheath did a good job with the pictures. That helped bunches.
My response is back to about five of you. I had read the TM and other threads. I did replace it yesterday. I had to use the old part number to get a substitute FYI. As stated it was easy. It came up to temp 180 and ran well. I put 4.8 k resistive load for 20 minutes and I felt like the...
Thanks. I had to replace one of the short ones today and was thinking of replacing all of it. I think I will stock pile the hose, tees and wait instead of (fixing it) Could make a problem where there is not one. Learned quite a bit today! Thank you for the help.
I have done the numbers and as long as they do not start up at the same time it squeezes in. Barely. How about the thermostat question? Libby Mep 802. I am still in the testing phase for my unit. Today I hooked up a new heater as recommended here by some( Comfort Zone CZ220 Ceiling-Mounted...
How is the connection made if I want to replace the rubber fuel line. I see going to the four injectors. But the connection to the end of the copper above the oil filter in the photo above is the question I have? Reference image above 1379.jpg
Libby Mep 802. I am still in the testing phase for my unit. Today I hooked up a new heater as recommended here by some( Comfort Zone CZ220 Ceiling-Mounted 3-Setting Fan-Forced Industrial Heater) 3.5k, 4k and 5k settings. In the 5k setting I was pulling 20 amps at 240 volts. Calculations...
