Speaking of inspections. I dug into the '88 over the last couple days. I pulled all the hubs, rebuilt all the wheel cylinders, replaced all the inner/outter oil seals, and repacked all the bearings. Bleeding the brakes today so she should be good to go. Still need to drain and clean the coolant...
Went to Mt Rainier Nat'l Park yesterday and decided to take 508 to Spiffy's for dinner. Nice route Aaron! First time I've been on it. That corner coming on the downhill on that bridge can be a bit harry. I hit it going too fast in the mini-van. Needless to say, I didn't need coffee after that:-0
Hmm, there certainly doesn't seem to be a pattern w/TSC. I know of several guys who have already picked up their 5188 trucks. I , like you, am waiting for a 5188 truck as well...amazing:?
Yikes, wow I'm equally glad you weren't driving as well. I've never seen tire failure on 46"'s like that. Seen it on plenty of Goodyear 9.00x20's though
You can file a claim with GL. I know a guy who filed a claim b/c someone swiped his mudflaps off of a M818. They were in the GL pics before auction and then were gone when I went up to inspect the truck for him. I believe GL awarded him $400 for the mudflaps.
Hi Dave, "bump" just bumps the entire thread back to the top of the topics page for exposure. I didn't put a civilian MV post up. I wanted to find out who our military and veterans were.
