Sam Winers has absolutly no winch parts except driveshafts. I would check with George at White Owl for any parts. He's got just about anything you need
2/3 trucks were a bear to knock out. I ended up bending the edges around the knockout:roll: If you are having troubles, use a drill motor to add a "connect the dots" arrangement around the knockout, then use a flat hear screwdriver or chisel and knock it out little by little.
Hey there, it indeed was Forest Gump. Well since I've had her I have done a few things to her:wink: Added a winch, manual windshield washer kit, air tank drain kit, med tow bar, solargizer, USGI gun rack. I have a military intercom system VIC-1 still being pieced together for her as well.
definately Alex, roll out a couple sleeping bags in the back of a deuce, put in a cooler and a port-a-potty. Yeehaw, I got me a redneck recreational vehicle. Hmmm, great thought for the next PNW Convoy event. Hopefully I'll have my shopvan by then;-)
Sorry Stalwart I don't agree with the non-CDL requirement for a truck over the state's CDL GVW for personal use. Check out the link Alex400 just listed above and also see here for what doesn't require a CDL. As you can see and RV is specifically listed. I do not see reference to a vehicle over...
I called the DMV about this same issue and spoke to the WSP about the CDL requirements of the truck. They said if the truck has a GVW of over 26k lbs, then it requires a CDL. I informed them that I had no intention of exceeding the weight. They said it doesn't matter what my intentions were, if...

Me: I'd like to get my truck stickered ( I hand him the WA registration)
Guy: Hmm M35A2C, very loudly shouts WTF are you going to do with that thing
Me: Uh drive it:roll::oops:
Guy: You realise those...
My DMV gal was pretty close:
DMV: It's a military truck?
Me: Yes
DMV: You can get those?
Me: Uh....yah, that's how I came about being here
DMV: Is it a regular truck?
Me: Uh, 10 tires an engine etc....pretty much a regular truck
DMV: What color do I put down?
Me: Green, black, brown
DMV: Uh I...
That is correct most of the time in regard to Left hand/Left Side etc. It all depends if the correct bolts got placed on the the correct side. I spent 2 hours on one lug nut only to find that it had reverse threads compared to the other correct ones:oops:
My only recommendation is take things slow if you plan on driving her home. Check everything over twice!!! Please make sure your brakes are good to go if you plan on driving her home. Remember to take it easy when you have her on the road. She may have sat for sometime. Best of luck to you and...
Hmm, big stinkin' tires on HEMTT wheels for one thing, new paint job, big hauling van trailer, a couple radio antenna, addition of a winch, gun ring, and a big American flag.
Hey there, if you do a search for insurance you'll get all kinds of hits. Check out the threads as several guys have listed their insurance companies, rates, Pros/Cons with different insurances. You can go with a antique/collectable car insurance company like Haggerty, Gulfway, etc. However...
