Hey does that fuel heater work in your 109's box? Did you get any spoils in your toolbox? If not some things I would recommend to you. Gladhand airhose(hook into your emergency glad hand on the back of your truck to air up your tires), at least a 3 ton bottle jack, lug wrench w/handle for the...
Yah, in fact someone in here called the folks who made Solargizer and they also said to use two 12v solargizers instead of a single 24v. For what reason, I don't know
Other ideas is to have a battery shut-off switch somewhere in the truck, lock to hold parking brake on, lock to hold accelerator pedal in up position along w/throttle lock. The skies the limit as far as what measures to take.
Hey Panzer, I can tell you this about deuce security. My '86 actually came from San Diego. This thing had a keyed ignition, a transfer case lever lockout bracket (bracket bolted to floor board, padlock inserted through hole in transfer case lever and locked it into neutral), it also had a lock...
I have somekind of top plate bolted on my truck w/a soft top. I can take a pic if you guys want. Not sure if its the plate you guys are referring to or not. The plate is only about an 1/8" thick and just goes along the rear 1/2 of the top shelf of the rear of the cab.
Be sure to get the correct airpack rebuild kit for your truck. From what I've been told, there are two different airpacks out there w/different kits. I believe the NSN is the same for both but they do differ in part #'s. Hopefully someone has the part #'s handy
Let the guy and GL know that you are thinking about seeking legal counsel in the matter and getting the base/local law enforcement involved to see that they think. I guarantee you that things will start moving in your direction:-)
I agree w/Tyrants. IT IS THEFT!! I doesn't matter how they got it is still theft. The guy has a trailer unit w/a serial # that he does not have documentation for. When the guy picked it up, I find it hard to believe he didn't notice the difference.
Oh in regard to your oil pressure, every truck is different. The military actually has two different oil pressure gauges out there a 0-60 and a 0-120. Some engines run w/a higher oil pressure than others. What they found was some trucks were always pegged at 60+ on the 0-60. So they offered a...
funny thing I saw at Ft Lewis a month or so back. They had a really nice USN M35A2 w/w. I looked up and saw they had 3 tree branches being used as the bows. Military funding must have been down for the Navy:roll:
Kind of weird to find the slave cable receptacle on the inside of the cab. I'm sure there was a good reason for doing that. Oh no worries on the fire extinguisher. I stowed it in the tool box:wink: From what I've been told, that truck has defaulted a couple times and has been there since Summer...
I was wondering how long that truck was going to last on craigslist for that price. Air-O-Matic steering kit and all. Good find!!!! Say, why don't you drive that upto WA State July 18th for our convoy. Just do a search for Chehalis and you'll find the thread on our little convoy:-)
D'oh, so you're the one who I was bidding against. I was hoping it wasn't a fellow SS. Oh well:-) Yah, if I were getting this truck for myself I would have stopped early. However, I was after the split braking system for my wife. It was a definate bonus to get the air o matic w/her. I got the...
