I have the "D" turbo and can hear it spool down when the truck is shut down. Of course, if you have an insulated/hard top it may not be that easy to hear it. I can hear it for about ten seconds after the engine is off.
As a side note, the boost gauge is a perfect way to keep an eye on the...
BTW David, just to get a better copy, I ordered the paper you sent me directly from SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) and should have it shortly.

RE: mounting
I found an installation last summer on an M900 series 5-ton truck. It had two panels mounted with screws centered in front of the windshield. Each panel had been secured with 4 screws.
The control box(es) (only one left) were inside the battery box.
If you want to use 100% WVO, it must be heated to about 160°F by the time it hits the IP.
If you want to blend it with diesel, it should be like a cooking oil at room temp.
In your case, it can always be converted to biodiesel by processing with methanol and lye.
Good thought Ron, but I don't know about the "M" version, even the manuals I have call it the "X"M757 along with the expansible van XM791. Only the cargo variant is a plain M656.
Never seen an M757 listed. Again, David Doyle is the expert here.
Here is the data tag, which shows serial number and delivery date.
David Doyle can probably tell a lot from these numbers. If the 0018 means that it's number 18, it could explain at least three oddities found so far, apparently only one fuel tank was used and the battery tray was never...
Thanks Ken, but the idea with the U-channel spacer is to avoid drilling into the flange and I'll try to stick with the original design.
I'm assuming that you are referring to the item circled in the image below.
Got a question for the metal working experts, Leonard, Robert Miller and other respected members of this forum.
What alloy steel would I need to specify to have the spacer and the angle mounts fabricated shown in the drawing below?
The spacer is the U-channel part separating the 5th wheel from...
The following items are on my most wanted list:
1) Tire(s) and one wheel.
2) 80 gallon fuel tank(s).
3) Personnel heater with accessories.
TIA for any leads.
PS. I did send a msg to Tom Bauer, just in case.
Devin, too much trailer for me at this time, would need to take some tractor trailer driving lessons and get a CDL too, I would think.
The 8x8 alone will keep me busy for a while. BTW the authentic trailer for the XM757 is the Pershing missile trailer. :-)
Found the image below in my store of...
This is my solution, had it for several years now. Use it all the time except when towing something heavy. :-)
Yeah, I know it's been posted before. It's 3/4 inch plywood.
Hey Leonard, just curious, my new addition (8x8) has the Allison TX-206-6 transmission, is that the one you have too or do you have something more modern?
