It's a Napa 3348 filter.
Had three guys at the local Napa scouring the store for anything that might work. Two gave up and said they had nothing, third guy found an assortment pack that had one that looked like it would work. He robbed two of the assortment packs and told me to have a nice...
The shipment I'm waiting for is for the fuel filter and the seals that keep things dry in there.
So Napa has the filter, but the filter only comes with a gasket for the bowl, not the two for the thru-bolt...
My local postmaster let me in on how their process works a few years ago when something went missing.
When you drop off the package it's scanned "in" to the post office. The PO then scans it "in" to a container, and that container number is now associated with your package, and vise-versa...
Well, the plan was to change the oil, change all the filters, and replace the coolant overflow bottle but...
I ordered the fuel filter (a 2-pack) on 21 Nov from Green Mountain, and they shipped promptly on the 21st. I'm still waiting for them...
I suppose USPS felt they hadn't demonstrated...
My key-switch, hidden up under the panel below the HVAC switches, interrupts the neutral safety switch only. So mine will crank but not start (assuming I remember to turn the key before I get out).
Right now using two non-mil batteries (I forget the size but not huge) and my constant drains...
The new radiator cap arrived finally (seriously, what's with USPS lately?) and it leak-checks good, so that problem is resolved. The fuel filter is "In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving Late" as is the adapter for the water separator.
This I have no idea about. Stuff it back in?
Back when I had my '86 Ranger (no ABS) I was driving home from work on the freeway and some knucklehead in a rice burner passed me on the right. I was only going 5 over (so 65mph) because it was raining. The road curves to the left and the left lane goes to Tacoma and the right goes to...
Back from the wrecking yard. $2 to walk the lot and find the one Samurai they have is stripped to the bones.
Saw a flask shaped bottle that has a mounting bracket in a Toyota that might work well, but since I paid the admission fee I was going to get my money's worth and walk the entire yard...
So with the last surging at around 1230 this afternoon, until now, it's been running trouble free for five hours.
Power just came back on so the generator has been running 11 hours today. I'll do the oil change this weekend.
I'm still leaning towards water in the fuel, even if the water...
Interesting. So I wonder if with all the rain and high humidity it could be a water issue. The tank output has a filter with a water separator and when I drain some I'm not seeing any water.
It seems to misbehave with either the external or internal tank. That said, my last post was two hours ago and it hasn't stumbled at all since then.
Fingers crossed...
It's going between 40 mins to an hour of running/powering perfectly then some surging. The last surge it recovered by itself before I could get outside. As I was typing that it sugeged again and again recovered by itself.
So it seems to bog down, the freq needle swings back and forth, and...
The only uncontrolled loads are the fridge in the kitchen, a mini fridge in the garage, and a freezer in the garage. Those all cycled on this morning when I fired up the generator without drama.
Everything else is controlled things like lights and fans. All the lights are on, the furnace...
Bottle holding great so far but...
Having weird random surging at 50% load. Having it at 60 or 100% load. Runs fine for an hour or so, suddenly starts surging. Swapped back to the internal tank helped a couple times, but not every time. Some of them are bad enough that I have to open the...
