    M1101/2 and a snowmobile?

Most length issues can be resolved by leaving the tailgate down. They're short trailers, so it's going to happen. The bigger issue I see is getting the machine into the trailer due to the deck height.

What did you do to your trailer today.

I was in Home Depot this afternoon and those $5.77 boards have gone up a bit....

Any Issue in Covering the Hubs of an M1102

My hubs and wheels don't even get warm. Some anonymous aluminum wheels.

    Question about Rebuilt(?) TH-400

Total straw-man argument. Nobody said anything even close to that. One user cautions that buying used is a gamble, which it certainly is, based on actual experience. I tend to agree. I think the OP's situation is evidence of that- because I don't believe they rebuilt his transmission, they...

    Usmc m1030b1

I have three torque wrenches, all are craftsman. Two are still unused after five or six years of ownership. I took them to work and put them on the torque reader, and both were so far off I consider them unusable. The oldest one I have tested about 10# off at 100 foot/pounds. That one is...

    Question about Rebuilt(?) TH-400

I'm wondering if they rebuilt it or had a fair used one they just swapped in. Are you sure that's the same trans you gave them? The advice I was given long ago was to always ask for the old parts back- tell them you want to see how bad they were. Kinda late for you now, but something to think...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Me? No. It works, maybe not as good as new but it works. 🌨

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

My wipers start out slow initially, then come up to normal after two or three sweeps. The capacitors were disconnected years ago. The park feature doesn't work either. If I clean the connections really well it'll work properly a few times then very shortly the wipers will stop wherever they...

Aftermarket 3 gauge set (yes I’ve looked up previous threads)

Placing the oil pressure gauge somewhere in your line of sight will alert you that you have a leak or low oil level before you do any damage. When you're making a hard left or right, or stopping hard, if the gauge is in your LOS you'll see the needle drop hard and recover- that means your oil...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Odometer passed 36,000 miles so it was time to change the oil again. While I was under there I noticed a loose bolt behind the filter. I crawled out and got a wrench and a light, but when I got back underneath I realized it wasn't just loose, but the threaded portion of the hole was broken...

    6.2 started ticking on me

I had a Ford Courier with the 2.3 four banger. I had a replacement engine in the garage from my old Mustang II so I really didn't take care of the Courier motor; the sooner it died the sooner I could swap the motor and reclaim some space in the garage. So I never changed the oil; I didn't need...

    M116A3 Trailer/Camping Project

Before you dump a lot of time and money into it, think it through. - Where will you camp? Are there places you can pull it and park? - Is the RTT better off on the roof vs the trailer? Out here we use the RTT, but the narrow abandoned logging roads in the National Forest sometimes...

    Thermal board

As a field expedient repair, couldn't he just put all the wires on the one remaining stud? Or does that piece of metal connecting the two sides serve as a fusible link?

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I spent all morning shoveling the snow off the driveway and sidewalks, and at 57 now it seems to take a bit longer. We got dumped on, probably 6"-8" which isn't much in some places, but it is here. Later in the afternoon I drove out and picked up the tires. Four good tires and 16" wheels for...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

265/75-16 Load Range C tires on the CUCV. Adequate? A tiny bit narrower and a tiny bit taller. Just not sure if the M1009 is too heavy for Cs. There's a set of studded tires available locally, already mounted.

What did you do to your trailer today.

My first M1101 was pristine, unused, except for one small dent where someone backed into it. This one has a few dents and dings, scratches, and saw limited use before the auction. It's a 20' good looking trailer. ;) It gets used, maybe not as often as some, but I don't have (or want) a...

What did you do to your trailer today.

Had some trees removed and the trailer parking pad got compacted in some areas. It needed more gravel anyway, so I went and got more.

Bring them with you when you come to WA to collect that lunch I owe you. If you tie them all together they can be your carry-on.

    M989A1 build

Like Gunzy says, push with a front receiver hitch- makes it super easy. When I worked jet engine test cell we had to put the monster TF39 engine (C-5 engine) into the test cell, lined up perfectly to get the lifting eyes under the winches, and we used the Ford F-350 bobtail with the pintle on...
