Put my u joint in today and discovered the jack shaft is too short. Only splined about 3/8” when hooked up. I don’t think that will cut it. Anybody got any ideas? Gonna see if it can be lengthened but I have my doubts.
I wonder if the overflow spring is broke. Just a thought. I’d pull the valve out and have a look.
If it’s in the same place as a p7100 it’s on the inside toward the front of the pump. It looks like a banjo bolt with another bolt screwed into it. Look up a YouTube video first. There are shims...
Have you checked lift pump pressure? Any smoke? Sounds like if you shut it off and immediately try to start it back it won’t start? I don’t think it’s sucking air. If you still think it is, pressurize the tank and see if you find any fuel leaking or try and start it while someone keeps pressure...
Finally have a u joint on the way. Went to 2 driveshaft shops and they both laughed when they saw the shaft (story of my life) before I even said what I needed. But a buddy of mine at truck pro found the discontinued spicer joint somewhere in Ohio and it should be here Tuesday. Hopefully that...

More gears equals more fun! Honestly if these had any manual trans I wouldn’t have started this. I just don’t like automatics.
And thanks! I’m doing the best I can, making it up as I go.
If I leave the output shaft speed sensor hole (I assume that’s what it is) empty will fluid leak out? Or is that sealed? If it’s not sealed any idea what the thread size is?
Took some pictures today. Plenty clearance everywhere. From the center of the transmission u joint to the face of the transfer case yoke is 9-1/8”.
Also got some new rear cab mount bushings. Just thought the difference was kinda funny.
Another note, just for the information, I decided to go ahead and order that starter spacer and see what happened. It was the right shape and the bolt pattern is correct. But it is .470” thick, the bolt holes are too small, and the raised part around the center hole has to be cut off. So I just...
