1 a true A5 doesn't have the hole in the deck so you would have to crawl under to swap it, (or cut a hole in the deck and find a cover)
2 as far as using u bolts on the frame tubes, haven't tried to add anything but have been told the tubes are an odd size and finding u bolts...
Not sure what you're asking, an A5 (or converted earlier model) does not have any of the rear wheel steer components, there is no drag link coming from the rear to fasten to it? Here's the best TM picture of the bracket I can find, page 102...

Welcome to the site, in process of procuring one myself, already have a M127 trailer. Both will need some love. Sorry for your luck with the engine, post in the wanted classifieds someone out there has everything you could need, might even find a complete engine from a truck someone is parting out.
