Lately I have been getting more and more worried about how many new people the HMMWV sales are bringing into our hobby that have no clue how things work, and with the entitlement mentality I have seen some displaying it may be a matter of time before they got pushing people at DMV's and...
Look guys, GP sells trucks from the DLA contract and issues off road SF-97's because the CONTRACT requires it.
They are also now selling some from a DIFFERENT contract and this contract does not require the SF-97 be branded for off road use. Different contract, different rules.
This is simply...
I doubt they changed the transmission. When 6.'s went out of producton 6.5's were used as replacements when an engine was bad, and since it is a direct bolt-in swap it was no big deal. Changing the transmission is a much, much more involved process and wasn't done unless the truck went in for a...
Back when I had hundreds of NOS pioneer tool racks (all gone now) I did the research to cross NSN's to civilian manufacturers and did test fitments to get sources of the right tools for my customers. Here is what I found, so it may save everyone some headaches searching:

The 101's left the factory with 24v bulbs but unit who towed them behind the M1008 series vehicles often changed them out to 12v bulbs.
The only difference in the 12v and 24v ones in military service was the bulbs.
Your lights should have 4 bulbs. The bottom 2 are blackout and of no concern...

$12/yard at the show. $11/yard if you preorder and prepay so I can bring it down already measured and cut.

Most likely it was taken for the axles.
A few years ago someone stole several M1008's from a yard on Ft Bragg, drove them up onto a fire break in the woods, stripped the axles and left the rest.
I offered you a complete refund on those cans or a price adjustment since the boys grabbed the cans from the wrong pile, your reply was that you wanted a third option I didn't offer in the form of two replacement cans.
I replied on the 18th, Wednesday, that I would have to dig through the...
My apologies- I had those sorted into two piles, with the more rusty ones set aside to be repainted and sold in the shop. The boys evidently were grabbing from both piles to send out.
I will do a full refund or a price adjustment, whatever you prefer.
The military switched to 6.5's for everything once the supply of 6.2's ran out, so if it was in service longer than the typicla one was it could have had a 6.5 installed.
But, as CUCVLOVER said what marking are on the block? You also see valve covers and heads swapped so the sticker doesn't...
