Are you talking about drilling a couple small holes in the cable sheathing? My pedal was sticking last time I drove it and it was definitely worse when that happened. When the pedal is working normally it still has a bit of a lurch, but nothing like when the pedal sticks.
Thank you for this. It seems the overall procedure is not that bad. This is basically what I plan to do with mine. I have the filters, just haven't gotten around to it..LOL. I did some reading on the RV forums, there is a guy who was a fluids engineer for Allison. He recommended the same...
I like what you are doing with the van enclosure. I bought a non-running M1079 that I sold and kept the van enclosure. I wanted to put that on my M1078, but now I am thinking I will just eventually try to get a running M1079. I contemplated replacing the electrical panel inside with a normal...
Anyone use a HAM radio during these rallys? I know they do at the GA rally, but wasn't sure about this one. I have been taking some practice exams and thinking about going for my technician license in the next month or two. It would be cool to meet someone knowledgeable to answer questions or...
Sometimes extremely dry, like dust cloud dry. The roads going into Uwharrie are gravel, and if it hasn't rained recently they get very dusty. Maybe in April it will be early enough in the season to not be so bad.
Look at the Haldex catalog from the link below. Go to page 3-50, which is page 52 of the PDF. Picture #7.

I like that idea. The kit I used came with some protectant which takes care of the UV problem, but you have to apply it periodically. The clearcoat sounds more permanent.
I've tried that too. It works surprisingly well for something so simple. The results didn't seem to last very long though. Now that I have a few lenses cleaned up, I'm going to try and keep some of the headlight lens protectant on them and see if that lasts.
I like the motorcycle lift idea. I have thought about one day getting a dual sport bike, and it would be nice to have an easy way to transport and load/unload.
I bought one of the Meguiars Headlight Restoration kits a couple weeks ago. After using it to polish a couple regular vehicles I started looking at my LMTV and figured why not, might as well see how much difference it makes. If you haven't used one of these type kits, you are wet sanding the...
I know what you mean about those frame bolts. I tried to remove some from an M1079. They are a special lock nut, tapered, and the bolts have rounded threads. I bought a 1" impact just to try removing these. It worked on a couple of them, but on some the bolt threads would start coming loose...
