I would be interested in troop seats for a M939 if the price was right. I would also like to bump my fuel up a few turns and 2-3 clicks of the gov springs if anyone has time to help guide me through it and has the proper tools. It is on my list of to-do's but I haven't tried it yet.
Oh, and I...
Anyone going to be around the Clayton, IL area that could pick up a hard top and bring it back through the Rushville/New Castle, IN area along I-70? I would be happy to chip in for fuel. I am travelling for work the next several weeks and it will be a while before I can make it over that way...
I passed some contact info for ARB to Those Military Guys. They were going to call ARB and see what we could do. I have not heard back so I don't know if they have been able to contact them or not.
I think most of us are thinking the ARB for the front axle but having a selectable locker for the rear would be nice also. It would probably cause less wear on the tires.
I have done several searches and I can't come across anyone who has tried the Gearhart locker. I would be curious to know...
I made it to Greensburg today. A couple of very nice ladies helped me out. I was in and out in about 20 min. There are now two ladies there that know how to do this process. If you want to make it easy on your self, I would recommend going there if you can. Just make sure you have all your info...
I have the title, I have my numbers painted on, I have pictures of my numbers for them to send off. I hope I have everything I need to get this taken care of. I attempted this once in New Castle and they looked at me like I had a third eye. I thought I would go somewhere that has done it before...
I am going to Greensburg either tomorrow or Wednesday to get mine taken care of. I know they have done 4 trucks that belong to another SS member. You do not have to have a CDL. Check out this link that explains registering the truck as a military vehicle...
I have not contacted them any further. We need an initial purchase of 50, I counted around 25 from this thread. Short of signing up on a bunch of 4x4 sites, I don't know how to get the word out that we could make this happen if we had enough folks interested.
What do you suggest? How do we get...
I have a few areas on my truck that I want to touch up but so far have been unable to find a color that matches. Do any of you know what paint matches the green/tan/black color combo? I need a little of all three! I would love to find them in a spray can for easy touch up but that is probably...
I have been working on a few things the last couple of weeks. I have installed locking door handles, battery cutoff switch, backup lights and a hitch. The only thing I have pics of is the hitch and lights.
Thanks Floridianson. I have the boots and the boot ring. Are the drive flange gasket and inner hub seals on the diagram I have posted? I haven't had this apart before so I am not familiar with the parts. But, I would like to have all of them before I start on it.
Is #1 the drive flange gasket?
I went to replace a boot on my M923A2 front axle yesterday and pulled the bottom bolt from the brush guard only to have fluid start pouring out. I assume this means the seal is out. I did not proceed any further since I don't have a jack heavy enough to lift the truck. After a lot of searching...
I had a chance to get out and try the truck out in the new snow we got last night. I got a few pictures while I was out.
I also got my wife to go out with me for a little while. This is the first time since I got the truck. She originally said she would "never ride in that stupid thing". I...
Just post your account number and we will take care of the rest.
If you take 50 sales x the top end of their estimated cost $1500, it is a mear $75k.
I don't know what that means but I will be sure to ask.
I don't really have an update, going back through this thread and calculating how many we have so far, I only come up with 25. Some people said yes they were intersted but didn't say how many so I put that as one. I haven't had time to...
I unscrewed the cap from the metal portion the lines screw into. I did not see where a Schrader valve could be screwed in, there are no threads in the port at the bottom and the Schrader valve doesn't fit in it anyway. So, I pulled the same part off my air compressor that already has a Schrader...
