I really do not have time to mess with shipping quotes, I can stack and strap them on a pallet and give a total weight. I really hate strapping tires as I had a set cut by banding even though we used cardboard and rubber pads between the banding and the tires.
Are you picking up that old trailer here as well? Pete has been relentless on getting trucks done and prepped. We have been shipping out at least a dozen a day.
I have one that I bought on my own account, I paid 770 plus fees for the thing. It is my favorite trailer for all around use, I doubt I will be selling it anytime soon. It is at home behind the deuce or my two wheel drive Dodge. I like the ease of picking up the tongue to hitch and the tie downs...
I have been asking 500 for the trailers and not getting it. We have several with like new bed covers, new Titan tires and the newer Pribbs box. It is sick to say, but it pays much better with less hassle to sell the tires for 160, the cover for 125 and crush the metal part. At one time we had...
On my 715, when climbing steep slopes, if the front tires slipped, it wanted to swap ends as the nose was heavier. Frequently it would bounce a couple of times and leave you with the front end off of your intended path. In slick mud, it was easy to find the ditch as the roads are all crowned or...
No, those items were stacked up nearby, waiting to be stored inside or taken across the road to the recycling building. I still have not opened the hood on the five ton. It is dry enough now, I should go do that.
Not in a five ton, but in my old M715. It would really bind up the drivelines in packed surfaces, it was also hard to steer in mud, but I also had a rear Detroit. When climbing the rock ledges though, it was amazing! For most driving, snow and mud, I would stay with the open differential.
Ferro it about has to be a MV person as they left 16 6TL batteries stacked on the ground and a large pile of wiring harnesses. They left several alternators and a stack of starters, it is kind of sad.....
You guys are still welcome to come out anytime! Glen
Somebody relieved us of two spare tire hoists, some shackles and some pulled instrument clusters. Not cool! The 939s are thick now, the 813s have not cleared yet.
I sell 923 trucks for 5000 925 trucks for 6000. So far every truck I have sold has not cost the new owner anything for repair parts, I allow them to exchange any part they find faulty or are unhappy with. It would be tougher for an out of stater to exchange. I think it is a pretty fair warranty...
Thanks for coming down, glad I was able to get the 925 out of the swamp and under some cover for you guys to work on. I wish I had more free time, but the GM was in Kansas City...
You have a friend in Kansas? 1978 or older truck? Kansas will issue an antique title on a bill of sale. Will need a State Trooper VIN inspection, one of the best laws we ever passed! Has to be 35 years old or older....
