I bought two for Jim Gwennap out of Smith Center and he put feeder boxes on them. He should have two 927 beds on the money, nice guy!

It is a personal preference, but I like the boxes mounted on the deuce frame with little gap between the fuel tank and the bottom of the box, some guys use a section of the 105 frame and raise the box. I also prefer the use of commercial rear leaves or deuce front leaves to the use of the 105...
Those tires do not take sitting flat very well, the sidewalls go quickly. If my place was on your way to recovery, I would loan you a spare or two. We do not air up flats or remove them from the trucks. I do not want to encourage anybody to get hurt.
I use a boarding ladder occasionally, it depends upon which end of the truck I was getting into, which end of the box you will find it. That tailgate step is a long ways up there for this old fat boy.
