With my crazy schedule you'd never get it back. I've got so many irons in the fire right now it's crazy. Retiring from the military, out of state family issues, traveling for job interviews, etc,etc,..
My poor M151A2 is languishing for over a year waiting for me to get time to weld in some patches.
I was keeping a zipped lip on that just to see it play out.
BTW, I have a box of ground guides and half a box of grid squares I'd be more than happy to trade!
LOL!
The 1/4tn was from the cold war mindset and capacity was the 2 things that killed it. The combat loads increased over the yrs and it all just wouldn't fit in a jeep. Remember the jeep and HMMWV were "utility" vehicles for combat that was supposed to have a front line. Modern warfare has no...
Nice 151!
Any GOOD metal guy should be able to bend up some repair/replacement pieces for those rails. Simple bends but the trick is to stabilize the body before cutting out the bad crap and welding in the replacements. The body will sag slightly and if you don't catch it your body will be out...
Yep, weather channel says real nice weather during the rally! Mid 70's during the day, mid to low 50's at night. The place should be great, some mud here and there but not a swamp.
Just did a pre loadup test fit. It all fits! (kind'a)
Got to bleed to brakes once more. I'd like to stop when I...
I have an early style pre nato 2 pin slave cable. Approx 15' (I think) with the self closing covers on the ends. Both cables are in one sheath. Really nice. $100 OBO
Like all my stuff I've listed, I'll trade for M151A2 stuff. (steering wheel,vinyl top,seat covers,good tires,frt seat frames,batt...
FYI.
The camping and clay bowl will be a great place to camp. There are a few obvious trails that cut through it and loop around. Can I say please don't set up camp on the trails. I know it's a "no brainer" but if you arrive in the dead of night you might not realize it.
If I remember right...
Militarystencils.com would be a good source. There are others out there in google land.
It can be confusing getting it right the first time. My rule is Pvt Joe never read the manuals when he applied numbers, did repairs and painted the darn things!
It would be nice to have the option other than collector or Antique tags to be able to run standard bumper numbers with the tag in the glove box. Some states allow that I believe. I understand this is a fight to have post '86 FMV's titled but Georgia is sooooo bass aackwards and stubborn with...
Corrupt pixies huh? Well that explains it. Paint "bucket" wouldn't fill in the areas.
Guess I need to go and enlarge the img and erase the gray from the img lines huh?
Did notice an error in the camo patern. Passenger side area below windshield pattern doesn't work with top view of that area...
Thanks guys! This very non computer literate monkey might have to play around with that.
Will "paint" fill in images with color like the camo outlines/templates in the TB43-0147? I'd like to play around with different colors and see how they would look on the M151.
I soooooo gott'a get with...
Yep, seen them being toted around on Land Rovers for that purpose. Everybody says they sux at that BTW.
I'm looking for 1 or 2 aluminum PSPs here in SE Georgia for a project. No luck, scrap prices went up and everybody scraped them out.
Gauges! 2 tachometers, 1 speedometer, 2 temp. Not faded out, not NOS but really nice gauges with low Hrs and miles. 173.8hr, 4.2hr, 43.2miles
$35.00 each for the tachs and speedo,$25.00 each for the temp gauges. Rally prices only!
Look closely,2 styles of tachs, fat and skinny lettering . Chose...
I've got the whole underside of the seatbox covered in 2 layers of it and it definitely helped. It got rid of high pitched noise and was pretty cheap to do. It's been under there for over a year and looks like new. I cut up those foam workout floor mats to cover the floor. That REALLY cut down...
