    M151A2's Finally Home

When I was stationed with my Armor Unit in the late 80's (I was the CO) all of our MUTTS had hot water heaters .. Would admit that on rainy cold days that heater came in pretty handy many times even without the side curtains installed :-). The 151 heater looks pretty straightforward regards...

    Sweet 57 CJ5 Fire Rig

My bud has been all over it these last two months and the results are excellent .. other than the choice of tires by the owner (Myself, my bud and several others that hang, thought that the tires look a little to wimpy for this old Jeep). Jeramie, has a little clean up to complete the project...

    M45F Maxon Turret Work Begins

Kevin, I'm thinking that your Differential Drive Units need to be cleaned up as they are binding .. the drive units have a spring and bracket that slides back and forth to close and open the pulleys depending on which way the Gunners Cadillac is rotated. Any binding will drag on the motor and...

    Sweet 57 CJ5 Fire Rig

ALCON, no rear step but that makes sense as there are holes in the frame at the rear for something to be mounted there! If anyone has a pic of that rear step it would be greatly appreciates as we could FAB one up in a heartbeat. Will provide an update with pics as my bud sandblasted the frame...

    M45F Maxon Turret Work Begins

Kevin that's it ... you may find that there are different colored shims under each trunnion block where each trunnion mates with the rest of the turret .. they were most likely used to level out the trunnions when installed on the turret. I had yellow and black shims on mine.. the colors...

    M45F Maxon Turret Work Begins

Kevin, I used my small engine hoist to remove and reinstall my trunnions. I use a 2 Ton Goodyear hydraulic hoist that I picked up at Sam's Club back in 07 and it folds up very easily for storage. I started work on the right trunnion. Stripped off my inner cover and two of the M2 mounts so that...
