Welcome to the July 2018 MV of the Month Nomination Thread!
To submit a nomination the rules are simple:
1. - You may nominate your own vehicle or another SS Members vehicle (please ask the member first). Please do not nominate non- SS member vehicles.
2. - ONE good photo must be...
I think letting them set without exercise once in a while is the worse fate any MV can have. That's why I have down sized my fleet to six vehicles and I still can't keep them all going!!
Yes....but let's not forget...just as in a good horse race, the long shot horse toward the rear sometimes comes on strong in the "home stretch" and wins the crown!!
LOL....I know Brother, and I only wanted to point out how easy it is to miss something like that when so much else is going on.
Lookn at it this way....if outdated rules are our biggest problem....we are in pretty darn good shape!!:tank:
You have a point there.
However....and this is not to make excuses, we only have ONE ADMIN that keeps this ship afloat without pay and in his "spare" time....which is limited to say the least given his high pressure primary job. I can imagine it's pretty darn easy to overlook something like...
DAMMIT MAN!!!
I feel like coming out there for moral support (I certainly don't know much repair wise).

I think you and mkcoen have hit the nail squarely on the head!! Also (unfortunately) the VFWs, (at least here) are suffering the same fate. The WWII folks didn't want to accept the Vietnam Vets because that wasn't a "real war" and now the same with the present war Veterans.
No need to explain Boss. I think we are all aware of the super-human efforts you put forth during the outage over the weekend and I thank you for your efforts.

That's a hard thing to understand. At the Georgia Rally and a couple of other thingys I attend, it seems that most of the folks are considerably younger than I and some of my friends are. They seem to have an almost fanatical devotion to the hobby.
I do agree that... let's say one...
My little heart is broken!!
Proud American NEVER sat an entire month without at least being started up and driven around the compound to keep things "Mission Capable". She NEVER failed to cooperate.....well except one time when the filter behind the D/S steer tire clogged enroute to a...
See....I just KNEW we should have taken someone's advice and had some sort of identifying garb/badge etc. I would have tried to at lease say howdy to everyone I could identify.:papabear:
