Hi Firefinder
Thank you for the Kind welcome
I've had M1078 and M1088 before, never an 89. And never a 2006 of anything.
Been trying to connect the MDR ICE Box, but I think I got some issue with the Serial cable.
Proud New M1089 MTV owner
Bought a M1089A1. I will try to recover the truck during the coming week & am going first clean her up. And then see what she's capable of.
Are there other members with M-1089?
One more thing on your way out... a tread is the pattern you see on a tire, much like the ones on a HMMWV. A subcategory, like on a Forum is called a thread. Notice a difference?
You must be some kid or else I don't know about your cognitive capacity.
First off you mention all this talk about HMMWV on this site, mind you this is a HMMWV segment on a military vehicle forum. What do you think people talk about here? Oprah? SMH
How could this discussion not get political...

HMMWV are designed in a fashion to make them pretty hard to roll over. 40 % side slope is very steep. And also... having training in how to handle a HMMWV in off road situations helps a lot.
We can't speculate about any of the things that happened that night. There are many questions. I have the same questions you have, and then some.
But that all is up to people who can ask and process the scene.
One thing that I find is strange is that they had to run a mile and a half to Kyle's...
It will not help you if you don't take off your seatbelt and drown. There is egress training in Military vehicles for a good reason. I did see the Dirt everyday episode. I think you have to decide what you personally do as far as passenger safety is concerned.
That c pillar is there it has been pushed forward during recovery. What you are looking at are the rear doors. There is a high seat mounted . Probably for hunting. I see something on the bed I don't recognize . I feel bad for the passengers. I do think this was slow speed. The seats would have...
I wasn't looking forward to checking the transfer case level today.
But it looks ok.
So I'm pretty sure now, that I have a NP 242
Is this the blue band you talked about?
