RE: now thats a nice looking rim
How does 215$ sound for 20X10 drop center tubeless wheels that are actually STRAIGHT and balanced?
Anyone have a A3 wheel assy they are willing to sell?
Patrick you can plumb the tank with one line and save a lot of trouble...
Install your fuel pump up by the gen set, tee the return line into the line before the pump... Use the 1/4 pipe outlet on top of the deuce's tank with a 90 degree fitting, drill the fitting and insert a piece of 1/4 hard...
RE: now thats a nice looking rim
This is why I wanted you guy's feed back... I had a feeling that there was a call for 20x10 non beadlocking wheels as I think most of us are into the look and being able to run singles more so than the rock crawling experience (not knocking the hobby).
I am...
Im buying my wheels this week I think... tires are 395's. Putting that bed on there was like mounting a 1500 lb led turd on the back of the poor thing, I will be happy when its halved!
Well... here is a beginning to another leg of the journey! I picked up my bed last night from Kenny whom has been kind enough to house it for ?????? TO MANY months now... Gives ya a good idea of how much shorter she got.
Any way... looks like I will be going back to getting dirty here in the...
If you have a come along or a fork lift you can pull and install in one piece, its a LOT easier to unbolt all of that on a bench. When you reinstall though you have to leave all of the manifold studs loose to prevent binding as RDD said... After you torque the heads down then you can tighten up...
Have a sign shop cut everything in vinyl and reverse "weed" it for a stencil... Apply with soap and water, remove the mask and then paint, let it tack up and pull the vinyl off.... Perfect painted on lettering every time!
I've been trying to get in touch with MVDP for about 11 months now with periodic emails, PM's, phone calls, even follow up posts on SS... I've give up! If I could ever amass a full set of them I'd start producing the darn things myself!
Okies... now me gotz it...
Run by a machine shop and have them put a counter bore on the base with a large enough ID and deep enough depth to get the base threaded over the stock studs taper. If you cant find a shop to do it PM me...
RE: Filter
I hate to say this but finding a cross for that is going to be impossible... im no genius but I am pretty talented at digging up some very hard to find PN for odd things. Problem is that size filter is not common to any civilian application that I can find on or off road from 3...
Napa and Wix filters are identical, Wix makes all of their filters hence the PN interchange. If there is a variation it is prolly due to a production change from Wix, I've seen this recently on a few filters, the 1133 being one of them, not only has the filter changed a tad but they are also...
Large shiny thing in the bottom....
uh-hu... to collect water in a unfinished metal area between the shiny thing and filter housing bottom which in turn rusts out and makes ya buy a new one!!! [thumbzup]
Other wise it's a contact wear area for the bottom of the filter.
