I installed a standard class 4 hitch to my Deuce. I got it on AMAZON.com. It is a standard 34" wide unit that lines up with the frame on the Deuce. Mine was 2-1/2" tube receiver so I also purchased a 2-1/2" to 2" adapter tube. Just drill 6 holes and bolt up.
Finally after a long delay I finally got my delivery of MRAP seats. I am planning to install them in my M1008 instead of the broken bench seat. The trick is going to be fabricating a sold base that will properly support the seat. I will see if the original seat base can be adapted to support...
Yep I agree that is what the mirrors are for. If truckers can back up semi's with only mirrors then so should we. You can always install a backup camera if you want to see behind the truck.
Try this stuff. (was recommended in another thread) http://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00BUB5JOA/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_S_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3D0TUV1B4HHND&coliid=I2P07CFWBSX9BB
Let me make it simple for those who don't understand wire gauge sizes. 1/0 = 0 2/0 = 00 3/0 = 000 and 4/0 = 0000 (the more 0 the larger the wire size.) after that the wire sizes go into MCM. 250 MCM is smaller than 500 MCM.
The weak point is still the pivit (hinge point). If you could have a 2nd support point that would attach to the side of the truck it would help a lot in supporting the weight. That would work if you have fixed sides on the cargo body.
I have a HMMWV spare tire mount I installed on my M1008 to hold the 37" HMMWV tires with run-flat. I don't know if the pivit point can handle the weight of a Supersingle tire and rim.
Yes stock pitman arm. If you are going with aftermarket rims you may not need the spacers. The rear can handle 37" tires without any lift. I ran mine with 37" in the rear only for 6 months without any issues. Just can't use the 4 wheel drive without matching height tires.
