Brakes are releasing but I wouldn't doubt if they stick a little. As for fluids I checked today and they are good, minor shavings on the plug but nothing notable.
The shaft lever moved between all 3 positions but takes some effort crossing in between them, it's easily the "smoothest" of any of...
This M931A1 has been giving me trouble and I fear the t-case is dead. Engaging any gear with it in high range results in a heavy steady grinding from the t-case and engaging it in low feel like it's locked up. I got lucky and manged to gently move the truck under its own power a few feet in low...
The truck doesn't look military and the bed is definitely commercial; probably a Knapheide 696J if not an older version of it. The reason I know is my M1028 came with a 596J Knapheide bed from the Gov and it probably got it when they issued it to a USTOC Contactor in 06' as indicated by the...
Why not use tow straps in place of rope/cable/chain to winch yourself out? "Horror-Freight" (Harbor Freight) has 10,000lb straps for cheap often and I can shoot you some 25% off coupons. Link them up and have at it.

Needing to know the size/thread/etc of the oil plug for an Cummins 400 BigCam II. The TM's have the instructions for re-threading to larger plugs but no size of the standard plug. I can hope it shares the same pan with the Cummins 250 but that is a guess at best. Thanks in advance.
Got the m1028 running yesterday. Signs show her fuel was "drained" by allowing her to idle until just empty enough to stall out and turn in. Now to tackled the infamous bent drive shaft problem. All around 9/10 condition. :clinto:
Thank you for saving that one. I was watching it close and had to resist saying anything on here before it closed. Do tell your friend to take more pictures and video, they are a neat truck!
Well in that case.. :grd:

I am on board with you Vintage Iron. Since the new classified rules have come into effect I find it much more restrictive to do business and have taken most of mine elsewhere. You are right about saying "a thief is a thief" in regards to those who steal customers. Customer's commentary/input is...
