Yes, a worthless thread without a pic, but I am not talking about the top, above the bows, I am talking about the bottom section on the side at each corner. There is about a pint of water (give or take) in each corner. Hard to believe that each corner "accidently" got the same amount of...
Just noticed there is water in all 4 corners of my cover. Its so symetrical that I think its done like that on purpose. Thoughts? Antifreeze in there too?
m16ty and gimpy, can you post some pics? I'd like to see how they are mounted (bottom, back or side?). Would like to take a few cans with me and somehow mount them to me M101A2. Thx.
Well, I used the slow moving vehicle sign and the emergency lights to keep from being pulled over by the VA police. VA requires trailers to be titled/tagged and I didn't have tags for it. I don't know if that would have gotten me out of a ticket, but I was going to give it a shot. And, no...
The sixth picture I posted has the info to look for. Its a bit faded but it says "modified with heavy spring kit 57K0912". Plus, I think there are one or two extra leafs in the leaf spring pack. I would have to compare my two to answer that correctly. I think the data plate for empty and...
I was looking under my M101A2 this afternoon after getting it home and I found a shovel?? It was above the axle mounted to the underside of the bed. I thought it was cool but is that standard equipment?
Just picked them up today. To my suprise, the M116 had the heavy duty leaf spring kit installed so its a 1 ton trailer instead of a 3/4 ton.
Here are some pics:
I just picked up my M101A2 and my M116A2E today. Towed my M101 to the Virginia DMV and asked about getting a title and plates for it. They were clueless for a while but told me that I could fill out an "Affidavit in Lieu of Title Certificate" form. Form VSA 12. This would seem to be the...
Yes, exactly. Same connector that you would use if your trailer has electric brakes. I got the adapter at a towing specialty store that specializes in custom trailer hitches. Should be able to find them just about anywhere.
Try this thread. Took me about 10 minutes to make the cable. Maybe I should start doing this as a business, since there seems to be a need out there....

The white wire or 5th connector is a ground wire. It grounds the trailer to the tow vehicle. I don't know if I need that one, but it came on the wiring harness.
Yes, I could/should do it on site, but I wanted to be somewhat prepared before I get there. Here is what I came up with. The Explorer actually has a 7 conductor round connector (for electric brake pop-up camper that I have) and I have a "7 round to a 4 flat adapter". I purchased a trailer rewire...
No, no, no, I am NOT rewiring the trailer. I am just removing the 12 pinned nato connector cable from the junction box forward. I will replace that cable with a 4 flat cable but I need to know what sex packard connector to use on this new cable.
I need to make up a new 4 flat cable from my Ford Explorer to my new (to me at least) M101A2 and M116A2 trailers that I just won. I have a bag of packard connectors but I don't know what "sex" the trailer is. Does anyone know what sex I need on the 4-flat cable to mate up to the trailer. I...
