    M1009 lacks power

Elevation isn’t the only factor. Density Altitude makes a huge difference on how a vehicle (or aircraft) performs. You can have an elevation of 8000 feet and a density altitude of 9700 feet. It varies up or down depending on temperature at that 8000,(or whatever) elevation. The colder it is...

    M1009 lacks power

Keep lugging it up the hills like that and it will break. No turbo needed. Have you used any fuel system cleaner? Seafoam, etc? They will make a difference in a dirty system. Agree with the other recommendations. The 6.2L isn’t remotely a powerhouse to start with. Adding tall (for a CUCV)...

    About my new 1028

There’s a guy on YouTube who used, among other things, transmission fluid to help the initial CUCV start. Smoked like crazy at first and lighter smoke for quite a while. Seemed to take forever for all of it to burn off. Yours should eventually clear up.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Guys I could care less if you post your license plate or not. Was just trying to help people know what can be done with it. Post away! I replaced all 3 belts today. Set lasted 3 1/2 years. Gates Brand.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Make jokes all you want. I personally could care less. Not everyone that visits this site is a fellow enthusiast.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Recommend you do not post a pic of your actual license plate. A lot of information can be found out about you with that.

    Saving a couple OH-58's

He had his pilots license pulled for two years. I’m sure he wishes it was a hovercraft.

    Grateful for this website

No matter what CUCV issue your having, you can bet someone has already experienced the same problem. TMs, informative old threads, etc and tons of members personal experience and willingness to help. It’s THE site to be a member of for anyone who owns a MV. It definitely helped me learn when...

    Transmission questions

When was the last time the trans filter was changed? Restricted filter won’t help anything. I know you said the fluid level was good but it has to flow freely through the filter.

    Laundry list for the m1009

I know the location matters. You missed the point. Even at $1k, it would still be cheaper than making a big block fit and swapping rear ends.

    M101A2 questions

Unless your dead set on electric brakes, the surge brake system works great. All factory parts (HydroAct Brand) are still available from www.crofttrailer.com Once the surge system is correctly fixed, you won’t have to mess with it for years. You will not find parking brake levers anywhere...

    Laundry list for the m1009

I know it’s frustrating to keep chasing issues. Been there when I first got mine. Once you get everything worked out and correct, you will be happy with the results. Hang in there! Sure more power with a gas engine would be nice, but the sound of the 6.2 Diesel is wonderful. To me at least.

    EMP vs MEP003a & 2

Those suits absolutely suck to fly in. Worst were the aviator masks. When you breathed in, it sucked in the mask in a bit, distorting the eye lenses. Which altered how things looked, kinda like a carnival mirror. I learned quick to hold my breath just before skids/wheels down.
