    NF-2 Floodlight Set

NF-2 or NF-2D?? I posted all the manuals for the NF-2D in the TM section under electrical. (Parts, service, etc manuals). The TO you will not find. If by some miracle you do, please post it It’s a controlled item and the Air Force was required to destroy them when the set was turned in...

What did you do to your trailer today.

You don’t need the lockout to back up a 1101/2. They have the freeback brakes. I installed them (Dexter) on mine (M101A2’s) and they work great.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

The copper/brass radiator is still manufactured. Installed one over a year ago. Was identical to original and super easy to install the oil lines. I posted about it with pics and part numbers

What did you do to your trailer today.

I actually hooked up my tan M101A2 today and moved it about 300 feet with my M1008A1 It’s still hooked up and ready to receive firewood as I cut it this weekend. Has been almost two months since I’ve touched it. Out of state for almost that entire time. Way too long.........

85 cucv 6.2 push button start?

Taking a disaster and adding another disaster on top of it is solving nothing. Looks can be deceiving. A Mess of wires, taken one at a time, is more than fixable. You also have an offer of a dash wiring harness that is known to be good. Actually fixing it will not only make your new truck...

What did you do to your trailer today.

Shipping halfway across the country is way too cost prohibitive.

    CUCV Bed Bolts and LMC

True to a point. I was referring a cheap bolt failing at a much lighter load than intended. The rest can fail in quick fashion before the truck even starts to go over. It’s happed before. Likely......no Possible...yes

    CUCV Bed Bolts and LMC

Bolts are NOT created equal. No matter the size or usage. USA made bolts are far superior than foreign made ones. GM Canada’s are excellent also. As mentioned, the 1 ton frame requires different length bolts than 1/2 or 3/4 ton frames. You might not think it matters, but when a Heavy load...

Don’t waste your time calling BAE. They will not help you (civilian) in any way.

What did you do to your trailer today.

A member sent me a Craigslist link that had someone selling a M101A? With the fiberglass topper. Of course it’s way too far away for me,’but price was right for someone local. I removed the leaves from inside trailer today, while truck driver was delivering a load of Red Diesel. Haven’t...

    CUCV Bed Bolts and LMC

Plenty of trucks in junk yards with good bolts. I found a complete GM set on eBay for $40 Use LMC only if you have to.

    M871 Suspension Parts

Having them made locally is probably your best bet. Definitely faster.

    Post your cucv pics here

While SP gave you a pass on that particular stop, I highly recommend you bring your lights in compliance with the law. It will come up again and you probably won’t be as lucky next time. Doesn't matter if we all know or think it’s BS. It’s the law. The Deputy will definitely remember you and...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Glad you found the issue. While chasing electrical problems is not fun, you also learn a great deal doing it. How components work together and why. Where they are and the best/easiest way to access and replace/repair it. How to use a DMM and to understand the readings it’s showing. Etc...

Good score! Another one saved. How long had it been sitting?

M1008 Ujoint at wheel, front axle

Spicers non-greaseable ujoints are excellent also. That’s what I use and have had zero issues. They’ve been absolutely flawless. If in dought, call Spicer and they can tell you which one you need.

What did you do to your trailer today.

Nice topper on it. I would love to find the rare fiberglass topper for the M101A2/3 the Military was just beginning to issue before the trailers were phased out.
