1st Annual Builder77 Memorial Tidewater Virginia Drive In!!

RE: Tidewater Virginia Drive In!!! That could be fun. Daneil, do you want to call Ft. Eustis and see if they would let us come in as a group with our trucks? We could do some take-out at the park and then drive over to Eustis for some sightseeing. That's about 1.5 hours from here. How's the...

1st Annual Builder77 Memorial Tidewater Virginia Drive In!!

Calling all SS members who live in the Tidewater or Southside area of Virgina (Richmond, Petersburg and the Peninsula are fine too)!! Several of us have talked about having a drive-in, but we haven't managed to get it off of the ground. We just need to pick a date and a location. I would...

Cheap M35A3, I'm eating my words...

Welcome and congrats on your win. That looked like a nice truck. I saw a winch truck in OH go for around $10-11k. There's not a lot out there, but they seem to be coming out in greater numbers recently.

Cheap M35A3, I'm eating my words...

I recently told a SS member in a post that there is no way you going to get a cheap M35A3 on GL right now. Looks like there are some deals to be found though. This one sold for $6550: http://web.govliquidation.com/auction/view_photo?eventId=3497&lotNumber=8600&picNumber=1 If it wasn't in...

Contol Box in M809 series (XM813) woes

I'm not sure what a good price is, but Winslow has some boxes for the 809's and 939's. I bought a 939 box from him a while back. The biggest problem with the boxes is moisture intrusion around the seams and of course, vibration. I opened the one that died on my 923A2. It had 2 heavy duty...

939 rims and engine for sale!

Update: The NHC-250 is set up for a 939 truck, but could be used in a M809 truck by swapping out a few parts. Thanks guys.

    who really pushes there CUCV's?

I routinely pushed my 1009 to the limits on and off-road. Sometimes those limits were reached explosively! I started out with set of beefy MT 31" for off-road fun. It climbed like a goat with the Gov-Loc in the rear. Next, I went to a 2" SkyJacker lift and 33" Super Swamper. It really...

    NHC-250 in a M939 vs a M809 truck

Yes. It looks like you would have to swap exhaust manifolds, fan brackets, and maybe a sensor or two from your existing 809-series engine and everything else should work. The manuals list both engines at 250 HP.

    NHC-250 in a M939 vs a M809 truck

Thanks guys. I would like to see some pics of the 809 series engine. I remember the exhaust manifold now that you mention it. The 809 dumps straight down into the muffler. Well, Andy, my big truck project turned into a HUGE truck project. Turns out the truck was submerged in saltwater up...

Anyone ever cleaned/changed their M543/M816 Hydraulic Filter

RE: filter Hey Lee, I'm just curious if you ever got it changed out. It sounds like quite a job. I can't imagine having to shell out for 75-100 gallons of hydraulic oil. At least you could burn the old stuff that you took out in the deuce fuel tank, right?

    NHC-250 in a M939 vs a M809 truck

Can anyone tell me the differences between the set up on the 2 styles of engine? I know the 939 trucks use an air operated fan clutch and there is a linkage on the IP for the TV cable on the automatic transmission. Is the oil cooler different? Any intake or exhaust manifold differences...

International Title Service --- A+ SERVICE!

The reason I ask is more for the trucks that come out every so often that GL isn't issuing a SF97 for. I was bidding on a M927A1 a while back and it was in the 6000 series auction that doesn't get a SF-97. I could go the VA DMV route, which entails paying for a DMV Special Agent to come to my...
