We looked at doing it years ago and every part of the temper frame arches has to be taken apart shortened and new cuts for the eve and ridge purlin braces have to be made. The ones on the bottom of the truss is the only ones that don't need modifying. We ended up not doing it.
One of the local folks that I sold a skin to made a wood frame for one several years ago. I will see if he kept info on how he built it, if so I will post it up for you.

Dr E that makes sense as think I figured it out that they fit the big Oshkosh stuff like airport crash trucks, M1070 HEMTT and PLS.
Maybe Mk48, anybody else know of others?
Ok got a slew of these the other day and they looked like normal military Budd lug wrenches on the auction site that have fit MV trucks since WWII, but they are not. They dwarf a normal set and are NSN 5120-01-070-8386 and Ken-Tool P/n 40401. Socket sizes, 1-3/4in Hex & 15/16in square.
