What are the best years and models of deuce based water trucks out there? Looking to rig up our own private brush truck of sorts to use in case of fire on a large ranch. Any good sources for quality trucks you guys recommend? Thanks
Mine didn’t come with two nozzles, and I’ve read the same about the change in their can supplier recently. Tried everything in every forum/post I could find and each can dribbled and sputtered when 1/2 used, no matter what I tried. Now I’m worried I can’t top coat it with anything else for a...
Tried using Rapco but their dribbling cans made me absolutely crazy… anyone know how long I would need to let it cure before I scuff it and cover it with Behr or similar acrylic latex?
Thanks for the recommendation. I tried some acetone to get it off my tools and it still took alot of rubbing with a rag to get it off. It's certainly some nasty stuff and there's hardly any room to get your hands or tools up there.
After removing the ring terminals for the radio tray power cable from the positive and ground stud terminals between the frame and the tunnel, I don't think I'm getting a good connection anymore. Both were covered in a thick black material that had skinned over like silicone on the outside, but...
You’ve used the Behr in Satin? Did it harden up as well as the flat?
I wasn’t so much worried about cost because I actually already bought the Rapco paint. After I bought it though, I started seeing reports of how oily hand prints and things like bird droppings and water spots can become...
Question again for the Behr paint guys… how does it hold up to bird droppings, hand prints, hand oils, etc.? I’ve seen some older Rapco jobs recently that worried me in those departments. Is it still an issue with Behr too since it’s flat? Or will the oils and stains come off? Can’t imagine...
Is there any risk of running too cool with one of these aluminum Champions? I've seen stories of guys running the Flow Kooler water pump, which I understand is essentially a copy of the late model high flow H1 water pump, and aluminum radiators, some of whom have issues making heat in the...
The radiator on my 1123 is full of sludge and rust. The lower tube on my truck was not stainless and had disintegrated from the inside out which was hard to tell since it was entirely covered in undercoating. Since I’m already installing new hoses, a water pump, and replacing my leaking...
That was my second choice behind 24 bolt wheels but no one has had any black rhinos available around me for over 8 weeks. They’re all saying sometime next year before they’ll have any again.
I never trust anything I buy without checking it first, so I was going to have someone throw them on their machine before just blindly putting them on the truck. Thanks for the heads up on the website to find out who has that machine.
