Check your wire from the battery buss to the starter too. Mine had rubbed the insulation off and was arcing against the engine block Good luck

Check the 12 volt cable and mes thinks the starter is drawing too many amps.....check your starter

or a LED volt meter....I put one on my 5th wheel to monitor battery voltage. (Low current draw) When the relay is energized it could show the voltage....?
