How many members do we have here that are Ham radio Operators ? I am one and I was wondering what rigs have you put into your trucks to run 2m and 70cm. I would like run a military radio for 2m with a military antenna but I dont think its going to happen. 73's Josh

On my wifes K5 she is running OX u joints in the drive shafts and in the front knuckles..... they seem to work well. on my XJ I am running OX u joints in the Knuckles and Tom Woods CV drive shafts.... if you want something stronger upgrade to CV with OX or CTM u joints but be prepaired to brake...

I had that happen once on my XJ with the same axles your running.... drilled out the Bearing race took out each bearing one by one with tweezers and then was able to slide it off.... mine was the inner bearing it sucked alot and I also had to get a new spindle and hub because they were both...

I run john deere +50 off road oil... because it has loads of zinc that rotella use to have till the govt made the new laws about smog and whatever

man there is tons of old cars and military stuff there.... found 2 b-52's in the woods once mostly intact near the ex Ramey AFB which is now a coast guard base....as far as I know your cool with regular license...I dont think many of the people there have one anyway the way they drive it seems...

holy cow ..... that truck sure did a number.... gos to show ... even 14,000 pounds going 3 mph will crush something bad ... my buddy has a flat tool box that someone ran over with a m35a2....he had a heck of time getting his tools out of his new metal taco

+1 for ARB and stonger shafts....I am keeping my truck somewhat stock because its not needed for me I have a hacked up xj and a k5 for the off road needs but if I was going to do it ARB lockers all around and bigger shafts...or maybe even 5 ton axles.

I have a 700r4 in a k5 with 37 inch swampers and 12 inches of lift and running 4.56 gears and I have never had a problem out if it in any of the off roading that we have done. now granted its not compleatly stock (stronger bands and clutches) and an hd converter but we are running a stock valve...
