Why don't we all post our GL/GSA numbers or at least have a forum where we can give each other a heads up when we find a vehicle we want to buy. That would at least put an end to allot of the counter bidding I would think. As long as everyone played fair and took turns then why wouldn't it work...
Interesting!
I'm so used to gasoline engines and the Diesels I am used to. I never thought that just compression would ignite the diesel/air mixture. OK.....now I feel like a total dumbass!!!! LOL!
Are there glow plugs on a deuce? I was just looking at a pic in the one of the TM manuals and I don't see anything but an injection port/injector location.
No ignition circut?????? On all of my tractors I have to warm my plugs before cranking. What's up on this?
LOL!!!! It's been a trying ordeal but slowly I'm getting it done. No way in hell I'm relabelling everything in the truck to english now since I've ended up learning what certain words are!
Here is a pic of the rear air connectors. It's similar but not quite...
My God, my God...........
Normally I don't comment this early on a board that I'm new on and especially someones project but Devilman.....you have created some wicked little machine here. If there were a way I could show more in support I would but saying congrats on the work you've...
I do believe they are air over hydraulic. I havent gotten around to translating that part of the manual just yet but from what the illustrations show it is definitley not just an air system.
Only thing is I think the connections are totally different due to it being a foreign vehicle. I also...
SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys really do have everything here!!!!!!!!! 8) :D :D

Re: RE: Help identify noise
I'm new to the Deuce but no newbie to mechanics and vehicle restorations so as far as giving exact specs on the deuce I wont be able to help "at the moment". Once I get mine down from Pineville to my shop I'll be doing a complete rebuild if not a ground up on it...
Have you checked your valvetrain completley?
It might be a slightly loose rocker or damaged pushrod. Cracked or failing valve springs make noise too. Yank your vavle covers and check each cylinder by hand. Go to TDC and check the rockers and pushrods for play. Watch the springs as they...
I'm thinking of maybe having another person ride in it and turn the engine over to keep the compressor going for the brakes. Like the Deuce this has hydraulics as well. I figure stopping can be a combined effort.
My address so anyone can preview the route is:

Branch, LA 70516...
OK, this is just a feeler and I'm in no imeadeate need at all. All I'm looking to see is if someone can assist me in transporting one of my trucks to my home in Branch. I will happily pay your fuel and transport fee if requested.
I was actually bidding on one of the 5 ton wreckers for this but...
Re: RE: Re: RE: Newbie to M35A-2!!! Calling all fellow Louis
Czech Republic. I've been working on it for almost a year and a half now. Importing tracked stuff is a breeze but when you start pulling in wheeled stuff it gets stupid with EPA and DOT "IF" you ever want to register and title it to...
Re: RE: Re: RE: Newbie to M35A-2!!! Calling all fellow Louis
Well hey bro!!!!! :D I'm in Lafayette.
I just got this deuce but I do plan on getting some more!!!! I also have a Czech piece of armor but I don't guess this forum is for foreign stuff. :)
Re: RE: Re: RE: Newbie to M35A-2!!! Calling all fellow Louis
Will do! I was suspecting that I'd have to overhaul the brake system. It doesn't look like too bad of a job except if the compressor has water in it. I hope someone has a rebuild kit for them. :(
I did buy a couple extra tranny's...
Re: RE: Newbie to M35A-2!!! Calling all fellow Louisianans!!
I can see! This place seems to be the one stop resource for MV's and I know I'll probably spend a whole week just browsing through it all! :D
I'm gonna hunt fer the TM's right now! 8)
