I removed my muffler and just ran a straight 4" section of pipe with a rain cap/flapper. Not much louder than with the muffler.

Its RustOleum Automotive Self Etching Primer. I picked it up at Home Depot for around $6. http://rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=397

Used some "Dark Green" Self Etching Primer to try to cover the GL markings on the front bumper. A couple light coats may have worked, time will tell, might have to use the ole wire wheel this weekend.
