    SF 97 Charges unfair

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting that things are better than they used to be, only that of all the things to make a fuss over...the $60 fee for the SF-97 is really low on the list and not without precident in the private sector.

    SF 97 Charges unfair

Not accurate. Document fees when buying a vehicle is fairly new. There were no document fees on a 1971 Mustang. This is something that was added to boost profits along the way.

Family User Friendly M109 Camper/ Bug Out Vehicle Pics

I just used small hinges to mount my panels, as long as it is snug, you won't have any issues. I put my gen where the spare goes, plan to upgrade the tires eventually and figured the larger spare wouldn't fit there anyway. Just built a box around it.

The M422 (Mighty Mite) was made by American Motors. Thr LJ10 was never used by the US military to my knowledge.

    SF 97 Charges unfair

Why is paying $60.00 for paperwork wrong when you pay the same type of document fees anytime you purchase a vehicle of any kind from a dealership? I'm all or complaining about GL if a vehicle gets parts stolen after purchase or the moron with the forklift causes damage that wasn't there prior...

    SF 97 Charges unfair

You pay for paperwork everytime you buy any vehicle (except a private party) so this really isn't a battle worth fighting. Last thing we need is someone in the gov. figuring out that the SF-97 can be taxed by the state or some other nonsense. Even worse would be they simply stop issuing...

Looking into cost to move a Deuce to Riverside, CA

If you are doing something "local", I can certainly meet you there and help with the recovery...follow you back, etc. I'm no expert by any means, but I've managed to have my M109A3 survive for a few years now, so its better than nothing.

Need another my deuce got me home story?

That alternator does look frozen for sure. Be glad you don't actually have the old generator as they are expensive to replace or upgrade to the 60A alternator that you have currently. And then you need a conversion kit as well as the alt. Are you going to look for a 60A alt replacement or...

    Reg in So Cal?

AAA wouldn't register my M109 in So Cal, but they can probably do a CUCV. Of course it probably depends on which AAA just like it can depend on which DMV. Once I had the vin verified though, the DMV gave me no issues.
