Interesting deduction Mr. Doghead. I need to replace my belts then I can figure out my charging issue to the rear battery. Interesting that a low charged front battery would cause the chatter.
I have a 1986 M1009 with a peculiar problem. I have one bad battery which is the one hooked up to the starter and if I jump it then the truck starts fine with out problems. Now if I flip the batteries and try to start the truck, the glowplug relay starts going crazy and makes this horrible...
Thanks for the reply, but I'm pretty sure it's not the starter. I thought about that but you can definitely hear it coming from the GPR. It happened once when I started the truck and all of the lights in the cab kept glowing. Weird.
I think my glow plug relay is starting to go. It looks like it was replaced recently.. looks pretty new. When I try and start the truck it makes that grinding rotating sound so it's probably time for replacement.

Idk, something is wrong with it. The gen II light is on and my battery won't charge/keeps draining and my belt is squealing so a bit if fun to deal with.
guys please don't stick HID's in non projector aka reflective halogen headlight housings. For one it is very illegal and two it's really annoying to other drivers.
