A buddy of mine backed into my gate and tweaked it, I thought the deuce would work to flatten it out, turns out I was right! [thumbzup]
How to fix your gate with a Deuce - YouTube
I have a '73 M35a2 and it appears to be leaking coolant from the oil cooler, just behind the oil filters, or where the oil cooler mates to the block. Is this a common place for the multifuel to leak coolant? Thanks in advance!
When I read through the CVC I was under the impression that a nonCDL Class B would suffice since the Deuce isn't equipped with air brakes, just air assisted brakes.
I've been doing some research and thought maybe someone out there could chime in. I'm looking for a front Dana 60 out of a 78-79 Ford for a project I have in mind but haven't been able to find any reliable pricing info. Any help is greatly appreciated!
I went to take my deuce out for a spin around the block after it sat for the past two weeks and as I began to let out the clutch it felt like the wheels were chalked. I checked to make sure everything was clear and tried to back it up again. Still felt some kind of binding. I had to bring up...
Mine actually fell into my lap a few years back and just happened to work out perfectly for the deuce. They're made out of, i don't know what the technical name is, G channel with 1" square tubing about every 8" and some 2.5" angle at the top with two 1/2" studs on the end of the piece of angle...
I'm no expert, but I've never dropped the tank on my vehicle while welding. Granted I've never welded that close to the gas tank. Sounds like a welding blanket could come in handy for some peace of mind. [thumbzup]
Hmm...I like that idea. I'll have to look into that one, nothing sounds better than a free tank of fuel when diesel is almost $5.00 a gallon here in So Cal
Although this isn't my first post I thought it would fit best here. I've been lurking on the site for the past several months learning all kinds of information while I was on the hunt for a Deuce. And as luck would have it, I stumbled upon one over the weekend. It is a 1973 M35a2. Everything...
Dynamat would help tremendously with noise. There are other spray/roll on deadeners that offer the same benefit without the aluminum backing like the mat has. I've also heard that truck bed liner can work to deaden noise
Don't have any pics, but here's so shaky video that at least gives you a pretty good idea. The truck has the stakebed sides with troop seats and a PTO winch. There is NO canvas cab roof or cargo covering. There ribs for the cargo area are missing but the ribs for the cab are intact. Thanks for...
That'd be great. I definitely want to get to know some people near me with a similar love for these old trucks.
Alright, he must just be a little confused on the whole process. Thanks!
Yes, I'm aware of the license requirement. If all goes well with the purchase that will be one of the first...
What great site this is! I've been reading up on so many things over the past week I can barely wrap my head around it. Anyways, a 1972 Deuce fell into my lap a couple weeks ago so I thought I'd find out some more about them before I buy. It is a multifuel and runs well, fired right up after...
