77 M880 Won't Stay Running When Warmed up Under Load

Did you replace your rubber fuel lines from the tank to the fuel pump? I had a similar problem and there was a short piece of hose on top of the tank that ended up being cracked and drawing air. But will say that if I let it sit for a month or two, it loses prime. Once primed and if I run it...

What have you done to your JEEP today

So its Canadian. Maybe they put tailgates in. Is that a 12/70 date on the plate? I am rusty on this but thought they quit making them somewhere in the late 60's.

What have you done to your JEEP today

Dr. Porkchop, went back and looked at your pictures. You got upgraded to the alternator and that is some fancy hi-intensity headlight wiring that you have going on there. How about sharing a picture of the back end. Was it an M38A1C for the recoiless or did they just cut the rear end out for...

my 923 with the Goodyears had about 3/8 to 1/2 inch tow out and was a rascal to keep on Interstate 5 in some areas with ruts. after we got a bit of tow in, it calmed right down and handles very well now.

simple front end tire alignment can cause the cupping issue and you would also experience some wandering, but worn tie rod ends can do that too.

What did you do to your M715 today?

Took the alternator in to be rebuilt. The man thought he would have it done in a couple days. It was difficult to find anyone doing that type of work in our area. If this works out, the shop I took it to has been there for ages, but the owner retired and has found a younger man to take it...

Shouldn't this be in the Humvee section? But go to your local trophy shop. They will have something that sticks plates to things.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Got the lights working again. I had two NOS switches sitting on the shelf. Took switch number one, a nice CARC green color. Plugged it in and nothing except the light behind the shifter was lit up. So was thinking what else have I done to this truck. Got to the Troubleshooting in the...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

The switch was dated 2005 and the truck went through rebuild in 2006, so am hoping the vibration and heat were it. there is a lot of wire in there for a very small area. I had been smelling an electrical smell every once in awhile for some time and couldn't see anything going on. An uncle...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

3 Way light switch woes. Pulled the 3 way light switch. Obviously a short, but why? we went on a mission today to a parade in Quilcene. 190 round trip from my house. On the way back, the 1SG asks why my lights aren't on. I couldn't get the switch levers to move, so we kept on heading for...

Rooster, looks like you took a picture of my battery, but mine took out the alternator too. The good thing is that I probably won't make that same mistake again soon.
